Principal's Message
As your child’s principal, my first priority is to provide our children with a high-quality education in a safe learning environment. Therefore, it is my daily responsibility to address factors that could potentially hurt children, hinder learning, or disrupt the learning environment.
One of the biggest issues we are facing as a society and at school are the things that our students are exposed to online and through their cell phones. Children today have access to so much more potentially harmful content and ways to communicate than we did growing up, which definitely creates challenges for us as their parents and educators! It takes a certain level of maturity and responsibility to have access to social media platforms, like TikTok, YouTube, Snapchat, Instagram, etc, as well as private chat or messaging features. I think most would agree that elementary-aged children are simply not quite ready for this responsibility, and that's why adult supervision and monitoring of their phone usage and digital activity is so important.
On October 17th, our parish is sponsoring an adult-only conversation to discuss how to protect our kids online. I highly encourage every family to attend this important discussion.
Your Partner in Education,
Brooke Nolte, Principal
"Protecting Our Kids"
If your child is a gamer, has a social media account, or simply has a cell phone, "Protecting Our Kids" is a presentation parents cannot afford to miss.
At 5:30 p.m. Monday, October 17, parents are invited to attend an adult-only conversation with Louisiana State Police, the Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office, the Bossier City Marshall’s Internet Crimes Task Force, Bossier Parish District Attorney’s Office, and Bossier Schools. Parents will leave better informed and empowered to protect their kids.
Again, this is for parents only. No children please due to the mature content that will be discussed.

Lunch
It has been great having visitors back on campus for lunch. Any visitor that comes on campus to eat lunch must be an approved contact for the student in OnCourse. A photo ID must be presented when signing in.
If you need to add a guardian/s, submit a “change request” in OnCourse. If you need assistance, call the office and Mrs. Browning or Mrs. Greene will assist you.
Competitive and Outside Foods
It is against Bossier Parish District regulations to bring outside food service items into the school cafeterias (example: food from fast food or other restaurants). Soft drinks are not allowed except in a thermos. Competitive foods are defined as any food or beverage other than the federal reimbursable breakfast and lunch school meals that are for sale to students on the school campus during the school day.

Impact Aid Cards
Every October 1st, we are required to send home Impact Aid cards which are vital to school system funding. This year, because October 1st falls on a Saturday, these bright pink cards will be sent home with students on Monday, October 3rd. Please follow the instructions on the cards, making sure to sign and date them on October 1, 2022. All cards should be returned to school by Friday, October 7th. Students will earn a TROT point for being responsible if the card is returned by October 7th. We appreciate your assistance with completing and returning these cards.
Rock Your School Day
Rock Your School Day at Stockwell Place will be held on Friday, October 7th. This is a day when teachers transform learning by creating an outside-the-box experience for students. Be sure to ask your child about their day to find out how they rocked their school day!
Celebration of Excellence
At the end of every quarter, we have a Celebration of Excellence Assembly where we celebrate the accomplishments of our students. It is an exciting and fun environment where we play games and recognize student achievement. Students who have been working hard to complete their action steps such as their AR goal are rewarded by being selected to play games. We recognize students who are on the honor roll, made their AR goal, learned all of their letters, etc. We invite all parents to the Celebration of Excellence Assembly that will be held in the gym on Friday, October 21st. The times for each grade level are listed below.
9:00: Kindergarten
9:50: 4th grade
