AP Scores
We want to use this newsletter to shout out our AP students! At Highland Park, we had 129 students who took a Fine Arts related AP exam, from music theory to 3-D art. 93% of these students received a passing grade of 3 or higher, and 23 of these students received a 5 on their exam. This is the highest AP score awarded, and it means that their score will count towards college credit. We are so proud of our artistic Scots. See below for specifics by department!

Along with our art students, we had plenty of high-scoring AP Music Theory students! The AP Music Theory exam tests both retained and applied knowledge, including skills in reading and writing sheet music, pitch, rhythm, analysis, and more. 14 students took the exam, with 78.6% of them scoring 3 or above (a passing grade), and 4 students receiving a 5 (the highest AP score awarded)! Overall, Highland Park's average score was 0.51 points higher than the Texas average, and .43 points higher than the global average for the exam. Way to go, Scots!
