September 15th is our first Digital Learning Day (DLD's) for this school year. Digital Learning Days are designated days when all students are expected to learn from home. They do so by completing assignments independently and at their own pace. Those who are unable to complete assignments on these days will have the opportunity to catch up when they return to school.
Learning on DLD's is asynchronous, meaning there are no live Zoom or video conference sessions. Instead, students work on their assignments independently without real-time interactions with their teachers. Teachers are engaged in professional learning sessions on DLD days.
Students have the option to bring their Chromebooks home for DLD's or leave them at school. Please let your child’s teacher know if they need to bring their Chromebook home. For those who choose to take their Chromebooks home, it's important that the students bring them back to school the following day to ensure they have the necessary tools for in-person learning.

Fall Fundraiser Coming Soon!
Hello Parents and Families!
We are excited to offer a way to give back to ALCOVA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL! On 9/18/2023 we will be kicking off an event to help raise funds that will benefit all of our students and staff. Our Next Level program, will help with funding resources to support students, teachers, and our community.
It is going to be AWESOME; we are excited to get started!
A few things to note:
· This program will be extremely easy for you. It only requires about 10 minutes of your time.
· Your students can earn great rewards, just for their effort. No money required!
· This is an online, donation-based fundraiser, and the email and text message donation requests can go to people you know anywhere in the world. That means no direct pressure on your shoulders.
Students will be bringing home more information next week after our Launch Party presentation. Please help your student register and complete the Golden Ticket assignment that very night! All students who complete the Golden Ticket assignment will receive fun PRIZES and it does not require any money to register. We will also have awesome drawings for a $250 Amazon Gift Card and Mini-Party Fridges stuffed with CASH!

Emergency - "Day of" Transportation Change Requests
If you have a emergency transportation change request you must email 978.transportation@gcpsk12.org for the change to be processed. Please use this email only for "day of" emergency changes, where you were not able to send a note in with your student. Change request must be received no later than 1:30 pm to guarantee the change request will be processed.
Car Rider Info
Just a Reminder: The Car Rider Lane will close at 8:15 am. All students arriving after 8:15, must check in at the front office with the parent. Please do not drop your child off if the doors are closed.
