Happy Labor Day, CPE Parents & Families!
I hope you are enjoying your long weekend. Please continue to make sure students arrive at school at 7:40am. We will continue our beginning of the year testing for all grades Pre-K through 5th grades tomorrow at 8:10am. Also, please remember that BREAKFAST ENDS promptly at 8:00am. We want students to have time to eat breakfast so they are ready to focus on the learning of the morning.

Upcoming Events
ALL WEEK, 9/5-9/8
Beginning of the year testing for ALL grades. Testing begins at 8:10am, so please ensure your children are at school on time.
Tuesday, 9/5
- MAP Testing continues
Wednesday, 9/6
- A & M Barber will be offering free haircuts for Carroll Peak students from 3:30-5:00pm
- National Read a Book Day - Please read a book with your student after school.
Thursday, 9/7
- G/T Pull-Outs for 4th/ 5th grades
- 5:00pm Parent Meeting in the Cafeteria (Title 1 Parent Agreement and GT Informational Session)
Friday, 9/8
- Wear Gold in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness
Important Information
Breakfast Hours 7:40-8:00am.
Please make sure your students is on time. Breakfasts are not served after 8:00am.
Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
Tardies/ Early Dismissals
Students who are tardy or picked up early miss valuable instruction time. Please get students to school on time, and schedule appointments for after school or on school holidays.
Students who arrive late must be brought to the office and signed in by the parent or guardian.
Parents who need to pick up students early must come to the front office no later than 2:30pm with a government-issued photo ID. Anyone without an ID and/ or not listed as an Emergency Contact will not be allowed to pick up the student.
To request a conference with your child's teacher, please email them or call the office to leave a message for the teacher to contact you during his/ her planning period.
Student Birthday Celebrations
We will continue designating one day per month for all birthday celebrations for that month. If you would like to send treats to celebrate your child's birthday, please send store bought treats on the date listed here for his/her birthday month. Please reach out to the homeroom teacher if you have any questions.
IMPORTANT INFO:
Student Cell Phone Policy
Students are not permitted to use cell phones during the school day. Phones are not to be seen or heard. Students caught violating this policy are subject to having their device collected by a staff member. Parents will be notified and can collect the device at the end of the school day. Due to this policy, parents are asked to not call, text or email during school hours for any reason. In case of emergency, please call the office, and a message will be delivered to the student. The school bears no responsibility for any personal device brought to school. Repair or replacement of devices will be the owner's responsibility.
