2023-2024 Calendar and Information Guide
Dear Lawrence Community,
Welcome to the start of the 2023-2024 school year. Each year brings excitement and new learning. I look forward to watching another year of academic and social growth of our precious children.
The District begins the new school year expanding on our work in setting and achieving goals. We know that goals are “wildly important” for success. We will be providing resources and support to help students set goals, develop plans, and track their progress.
In order to achieve goals, ATTENDANCE is a key component. The research on student success and its relationship to good attendance is strong. With health and safety in mind, we do not want anyone to come to school if sick. However, all other reasons for missing school (i.e., doctor's appointments) should not interfere with keeping a GOOD ATTENDANCE RECORD and helping achieve those goals!

Plan to arrive at school every day and on time!
Having consistent good attendance is key to achieving goals! Routines can help busy family mornings run smoothly.
- Set an early bedtime to ensure ready and refreshed for the school day!
- Have a set schedule for nightly routines
- Set your alarm, leaving extra time for unexpected delays
- Lay out clothing and supplies the night before
- Place backpack and shoes near the door
- Schedule appointments for after school
- Only miss school when truly sick
- Communicate with your child's school when absent or late
- Have a back-up plan in case of transportation challenges

Kindergarten School Hours: 8:50am-3:30pm
Lawrence Primary School at #2 School (PS)
Grades 1-3
School Hours: 8:45am-3:25pm
Lawrence Elementary School at Broadway Campus (ES)
Grades 4-6
School Hours: 8:45am-3:25pm
Lawrence Middle School at Broadway Campus (MS)
Grades 7-8
School Hours: 7:48am-2:38pm
Lawrence High School (HS)
Grades 9-12
School Hours: 7:48am-2:35pm
