SCHEDULES
Your list of courses without details will be available to view on Student and Parent Connecting beginning Thursday, July 26th.
Official student schedules with teacher and room number information will be viewable on Student and Parent Connect beginning on Monday, August 7th.
Your counselor has reviewed each student's transcript for their needs. Counselors double-check to make sure students are on track with graduation, A-G, STEM stole, and/or CCI. We then go through each student's schedule to ensure they will meet all requirements.
Friday, August 11th at 4pm is the last day for student-initiated schedule changes
NOTE: COUNSELORS MAY NOT BE ABLE TO ACCOMODATE ALL SCHEDULE CHANGE REQUESTS.
All requests will be reviewed and counselors will determine if the change is possible. It could be that there is no room in the class or there are conflicts with the student's schedule that do not allow for a change to be made. Your request may also cause the rest of your schedule to shift, which means other classes/periods/teachers may need to change.
We try to accommodate all schedule change requests as best we can, following our Schedule Change Policy. For more information, please below and visit: Schedule Change Policy

TUTORING
SERP
The Eastvale STEM Academy is dedicated to offering our students a hands-on practical experience in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics during their high school years. One of the ways we do this is to engage in the process of Inquiry in an authentic way for three years. We call this project The Science and Engineering Research Project, or "The SERP”.
What does this look like?
During the 9th grade year, our students will learn the skills needed to design a research project in these fields, including how to research, design an experiment, determine variables, collect and analyze data, and draw conclusions based on outcomes. Students also learn to present their findings in a professional manner. All learning and experimentation occurs in the classrooms during the ninth grade year.
During the 10th grade year, all students will become more independent with the SERP. While there will be check-ins during class time, and opportunities to meet with teachers or mentors, the experimentation will mostly occur outside of class time, either while at home or during a pre-arranged time with a staff member. The 10th grade year will include forms collection to ensure projects are appropriate and safe, and a timeline that must be met in order for students to receive credit for SERP completion, which is a requirement for the STEM Stole upon graduation. Students will have some class time dedicated to work on the data analysis and write-up, and will be required to present their study to a panel of adults in Semester 2.
During the 11th grade year, all eSTEM students will continue to become more independent in their research project. Once again, there will be timelines that guide the students to ensure completion of the project by the due dates, and forms will still be collected that check the appropriateness and safety of the project; 11th grade students may work with any other 11th grade students (up to 3). Students will have teacher mentors to help guide them and students are expected to complete research, data collection and analysis. Students will obtain credit for completion of the project upon their presentation of the SERP to a panel of adults.
During the 12th grade year, only the Varsity projects, selected at the 11th grade panel presentations, will continue to revise, present at our site Science and Engineering Fair in December, and then enter the competition circuit in January, starting with the CNUSD Science and Engineering Fair. Any 12th grade students not on Varsity who would like to compete at our site science fair should speak to their teachers at the start of the school year, or email ERHSSciFair@cnusd.k12.ca.us for more information.
Check out the CANVAS page below for more detailed information. This is the hub for all SERP panel submission.
