What's new in the LMC!
Now that the school year has started, we've been adding many new things to the library! For starters, we have some new programs that we are kicking off the year with. Our first is "Read with Rusty". This program is done with partnership with the Chicago Steel Hockey Team. We are encouraging students to read to earn a free hockey ticket to a Chicago Steel hockey game. Students will also be able to participate in a reading session with the coach, meet Rusty, the mascot, and stay for autographs after the game. Need a form??? Stop by the library and pick one up!
We also have our first Book Buzz date coming up! It's not too late to turn in a permission slip!
Now Hiring!
The library is looking for students who want to learn more about the library and help out!
3rd and 4th graders can adopt-a-shelf. Students will be assigned a shelf to look after in the library. It is up to them to make sure their shelf is in order, neat, and presentable!
5th graders can be library helpers. This will include setting up the computers in the morning, helping pull books, shelving books, feed our pet fish, and whatever fun tasks come up!
Interested??? Stop by the library to get a form today!
Fall Reading!
Let's fall into some good books for the upcoming season! If you're looking for a book about fall, pumpkins, or Halloween make sure to check out our new displays!
