Principal's Message
Dear St. Maria Goretti Catholic School Families,
We are getting excited and ready for North Texas Giving Day! Please use the links below to donate to your classes' North Texas Giving Day Pages or to make your own to share with family and friends. Make plans to attend our talent show and watch party on Thursday, September 23, 2021 from 6:30 PM -8:00 PM.
Kountry Karnival weekend will be October 2nd and 3rd. Tickets are on sale now for KK Taste of SMG! Please fill out the order form and send in your payment to the front office. Or you can purchase your tickets after all Masses next weekend. The last day to pre-order your food is Thursday, September 30, 2021. Pre-ordering your food ensures you get to enjoy the foods you would like. There will be limited quantities to purchase the day of KK.
Our copious water supply has been depleted. Students must come to school with a water bottle (or 2) each day. We hope to have the water fountain station installed soon. Please consider donating a case of water to your child's homeroom.
Finally, Nolan Catholic's registration opens on October 1st. Please see the flyer below for more information on how to register your 8th grader.
We ask that you continue to keep our students, teachers, staff, and priests in your prayers.

Spanish Class - Kindergarten Paper Bag Piñatas
Spanish Class: La salsa es picosa o cremosa?
Es picosa o cremosa? Students in 3rd-5th grade described different sauces texture, color and spiciness.
Kindergarten
We are starting a new reward system in KB. Students who are “caught being good” can earn clips throughout the week. For each clip earned, students add a sticker to try and fill up their own 10 frames. On Friday, if the 10 frame is full, students may go to the adoption center and adopt a desk pet. Desk pets live in their own habitats and can come out during free time. Students will then go on to earn extras for their pets like food, water, toys, etc! The kids are working hard to fill their 10 frames with good behavior and are excited to go to the adoption center for the first time.
