The leaves have definitely begun the changing process as the beautiful colors surround the recess field! Although the seasons are changing, our expectations have not. We have seen some really positive character traits presenting themselves around our hallways! A kind word and a smile go a long way toward brightening the day.

This month is filled with events, including Thanksgiving! We are so thankful to all our Mill Pond families! Your support and partnership make the difference in everything that happens here at “The Pond.” November is short in days but big in meaning. However, I think Charlie Brown said it best when he posed the question, “What if today we were just thankful for everything?” :-). I also want to thank the PTA for organizing a great book fair event! We had a steady turnout, with the end result of many new books being shared.

November is also a time at Mill Pond for parent-teacher conferences. Our conferences will be held on November 29th, November 30th, and December 1st. All three days will be early dismissals for the students. (1:15pm) Lunch on these days will not be served. Our evening conferences are set for Wednesday, November 29th.

At the end of the month, we will be welcoming another 200 students to Mill Pond as our pre-k expands! Here are some important details:

~ Our current tuition students and special education students will begin a full day on November 20th.

~ Our first stage of the expansion will open 15 classes on November 27th

~ Our second stage of the expansion will open another 5 classes on January 2nd.

Letters regarding orientation opportunities will be coming home shortly, as soon as our registrations are complete. Here are the dates:

~ November 16th - Parent Orientation in the MP Cafeteria 4:30 - 5:00 pm

~ November 17th - Student & Parent Classroom Orientation - 2 sessions TBA

Parents, if there is a change in your child's pick up routine, contact the main office directly. The Remind App, DOJO and even email may not always be reliable for such important information. Circumstances to arise, and we understand that; however, our teachers do not have the opportunity to check and/or respond to messages during instructional times. If you know in advance, write a letter to us letting us know or give us a call. TY!
