Kinder/TK Registration Information
Dear OCD Families,
If your child is five years old, or will be five on or before September 1, 2021, your child is eligible to enroll in Kindergarten in the Fall and if your child will be five between September 2 and December 2, 2021, your child is eligible to enroll in Transitional Kindergarten this fall.
If you reside within the CCUSD boundaries, priority enrollment begins February 1st and ends March 5th. Late enrollment begins April 12. All CCUSD residents currently enrolled in an OCD preschool program who want their child to attend CCUSD TK or Kindergarten for the 2021-2022 school year must enroll at their home school.
Please note the following:
Enrollment in OCD does not result in automatic enrollment in TK or Kindergarten.
All CCUSD residents will be assigned to their home school regardless of which campus their OCD classroom is located.
CCUSD residents wishing to attend a school other than their home school for Kindergarten-Grade 5 must apply for an Intradistrict Permit between February 10 and March 10.
CCUSD residents wishing to attend a school other than their home school for TK must complete the request form between February 10 and March 10.
All non-CCUSD residents currently attending OCD who want to attend CCUSD TK or Kindergarten, must apply for an Interdistrict Permit.
Anyone interested in attending a Dual Language Program for Kindergarten- Grade 5 must complete a Dual Language application between February 10 and March 10.
CCUSD residents who wait until the late enrollment period are not guaranteed placement at their home school if space is not available. If a home school is at capacity, the student will be assigned to another CCUSD elementary school.
If you have any questions, please email the Department of School and Family Support Services at sfss@ccusd.org.
Sincerely,

SCHOOL AGE ENROLLMENT UPDATE
Hello, Past and Present OCD Families!
Wow, what a year it has been! I hope this message finds you and your families well. We wanted to give you an update on what's occurring with the school-age program at OCD. Currently, we are re-enrolling our students that are in our Learning Spaces Pods as we must maintain the cohorts with the same students. We are holding off on creating a new waiting list for the 2021-22 school year, as we do not have a clear picture of what fall's school structure will look like. Once we have the information, we will reach out to families who were previously enrolled in our before and aftercare program, and then reach out to those who submitted a waitlist application for the 2020-21 school year. Our hope is to enroll families during summer with the intention of adding classroom. We also have the ability to take in additional families if the state student ratios increases. We understand that it can be frustrating and you may feel lost as you try an plan for the year ahead, but as soon as we are able to provide additional information, we will do so.
Thank you and Stay Safe!

Read-A-Thon - February 22 - March 5
Read-a-thons help get your reader excited about reading and it gives friends and family the opportunity to encourage your child to read even more.
About one week before our Read-a-thon starts we will send home instructions on how to activate your reader's personal page. This is where you will be able to view and record their progress.
We've chosen Read-a-thon because it will not take much of your time, gives your child a reason to read and helps in the development of stronger reading skills.
We hope EVERYONE participates.
Chipotle Fundraiser - Wednesday, March 10th
Chipotle will donate 33% of all funds to OCD!
Need More OCD Spiritwear?
Need Labels? Buy Oliver's Labels!
Room Representatives Wanted!
Does your class have a Room Representative? If not, we want you to volunteer!
1 representative per class would be great!!! A second volunteer would be a bonus!
Duties:
- Send updates to other parents, grownups and guardians via email
- Assist with teacher appreciation week for your teacher
- Represent your classroom families at PAC meetings (once a month)
Room parents ensure that every parent receives important OCD updates and are a valuable voice in decisions that will impact the program. The time commitment is very small.
If you or someone you know is interested, email us at ocd.pac.ccusd@gmail.com
