Never Give up...
Hello Eagle Family,
Thomas Edison once said, "Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time." These words are very important to all of us at this time.
It has been one year since I was fortunate enough to be given the keys to the building. I have met so many amazing people. I always tell people who ask that I was blessed with an amazing staff, a great team of administrators and truly exceptional teachers. The best part of the job is still the students we get to serve. I have seen them looking for someone to believe in them and they rise to the occasion. We will not just rise, we will SOAR.
Sincerely,
Luis Ruben Alarcon

Counselor's Corner
- The School Counseling Team at Andress is looking to start a Counseling Advisory Council. This Council will consist of 8-10 members who are students, parents, community members, and Andress staff. We will meet two times a year. The purpose of the council is to provide feedback on program goals, make recommendations about the school counseling program, and serve as advocates for the program. If you are interested, please contact Mr. Andrade at iandrade@episd.org or 915-236-4009.
- Senior Interviews will begin during the month of September. This is an opportunity for all seniors to meet with his/her School Counselor to review credits, grades, EOC test scores, college / career / military plans, NCAA, , SAT, TSIA2, Graduation Requirements (Financial Aid, CPR, Interaction with Peace Officer), senior clearance process and much more! The senior interview is required and happens at least once during the Fall semester, and at least once during the Spring semester.
Grandparents Day
Look forward to seeing you here.

Andress Cheer Preforms at UTEP.
This past week, many Andress Alumni shone at the collegiate level. From Jeremiah Cooper first Pick 6 and 2 INTs at Iowa State to Bella Morgas's second two goal performance at Southern Nazarene, Andress alumni have been doing grre4at things at the college stadiums across the US. Not to be outdone, our Andress Cheerleaders preformed at the UTEP Football Game halftime show. They showed off the skills that made them award winners at the UTEP Cheer Camp this summer. Great job Eagles!!!
