St. Helen's School News

Dear Lions,

The month of September was full of amazing events and achievements for our students and the St. Helen’s community. Thank you to all the grandparents and guests who participated in Grandparents Day. St. Helen’s students enjoyed having their special person on campus to spend the morning with. Another memorable event that occurred was St. Helen’s Alumni Mass celebrating 70 years of academic excellence. It was great to see all the former students and staff back on campus to commemorate this special day. Thank you PTO for putting on two great events to kick off the month of September!

Students have been enjoying participating in Penny Wars. Penny Wars has been a great way to demonstrate teamwork and friendly competition. Penny Wars will continue through the middle of December where the Grand Prize Winners will receive a carnival day!

St. Helen’s Student Council Officers were announced for the 2023-2024 school year. St. Helen’s is proud of all the students who ran for office and congratulate those who will be representing St. Helen’s this school year. September also brought our first virtue awards where we recognized those students who exhibited what it meant to be a respectful St. Helen’s Student.

Our volleyball and flag football teams played in their first games for the school year. We are very proud of both teams for all the hard work they put in each week.

September is also the start of our Rocky Mountain Chocolates Candy Apple Fundraiser. All students have until October 12th to turn in their order forms with their monies. We are looking forward to all that is to come in October!

Join us for the 2023 SHS Fall Festival as we celebrate the 70th Anniversary of St. Helen's School. Held at St. Helen's School on Sunday, October 29, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, this is a fun family event you won't want to miss!

It's a Penny War!! Each classroom is colleting donations to earn points for their grade level. You can add points to your jar with pennies and bills, and subtract points from other grade levels by adding nickels, dimes and quarters to their jars. Classes can earn ice cream parties by earning the most points at the end of each month, and a carnival experience at the end of the fundraiser in December for having the highest overall total.
