NOVEMBER 1, 2023 - NEWSLETTER
Hello Northpoint Families!
Judging by the temperatures outside and the snow on the ground, it seems like we moved from fall break straight into winter! As the seasons are changing, please take a minute to ensure your child(ren) have everything they need for outdoor recess during the winter.
A quick reminder, we will have indoor recess if the air temperature is below 0 degrees or windchill is below -10 degrees. If it is warmer than that, it’s more than likely that the students will be going outside for recess. We have a few pieces of winter clothes that students can borrow if needed but please reach out if you are in need of any specific winter wear and we will do our best to find that for your child.
Thank you to everyone who took a few minutes to provide feedback on last week’s pulse check. We use this data in multiple ways to look at how we can continually provide the best experience for students and families as possible.
Some areas where we received praise were for:
The curriculum and teaching style that promotes student learning
Great teachers who are caring and passionate about their job and students
Events that allow for family involvement
Some area of feedback were:
Regarding multiage learning as well as questions about the structure
Requests for additional school events like a fall celebration
Comments about increasing teacher communication regarding grades and classroom information
Some of the items we can act on right away, others we will use as we progress in the year and look at structures for next year. I appreciate you taking the time to have your voice heard within our Northpoint community!
Finally, thank you for everyone who attended conferences over the last few weeks. This is always a key time for us to continue to build that partnership between home and school. If you have been unable to have a conference this fall, please reach out to your child’s teacher to schedule a time that works to connect.

Principal
