Arrival, Dismissal, and Attendance
Please remember the doors open at 7:50 a.m., and school starts promptly at 8:00 a.m. Do not drop your students off any earlier than 7:50 a.m. as there is no supervision outside the entry doors before then. Additionally, we are seeing large numbers of tardies and early dismissals. Keep in mind that frequent tardiness and early dismissals lead to missed instruction and can affect your student’s ability to successfully meet grade-level standards and take part in the school community. If you are picking students up early, please try to pick them up by 2:15 or 1:15 on early release day, to allow time to get your student before release time.
Lastly, if you are calling to excuse an absence for your child, we advise you to use the attendance line (720-886-3295) and not the main office line. Thank you for your partnership and cooperation in supporting our students.

Morning Drop Off and Pick Up
When dropping student off in the morning, please pull forward so that traffic will continue to flow and not get back up. Due to this lane being a fire lane, cars MUST NOT be left unattended. Please park if you are picking up a student.
A Reminders . . .
After the holidays, we sometimes see an increase of toys coming to school. Please encourage your children to leave their favorite toys at home when heading to school. This helps minimize distractions, fosters a focused learning environment, and prevents potential disagreements or disruptions among the students.
Also if you child has a cell phone, they are to be kept in their back pack at all times.
From Our Mental Health Team
Dear Parents,
As we step into the new year, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on the well-being of our precious students and share some thoughts on the importance of fostering personal well-being in their lives.
Our children's well-being encompasses not just physical health but also their emotional, social, and mental wellness. In the hustle and bustle of academic pursuits, extracurricular activities, and daily routines, it's crucial to pause and consider the holistic development of our young learners.
Here are a few reasons why prioritizing personal well-being is fundamental to your child's success:
1. Holistic Development: Personal well-being is the cornerstone of holistic development. When children feel physically and emotionally well, they are better equipped to engage in learning, build positive relationships, and navigate the challenges that come their way.
2. Academic Achievement: Research consistently shows that students who are physically and mentally healthy perform better academically. A well-rested and emotionally balanced child is more likely to be focused, attentive, and ready to learn.
3. Resilience Building: Teaching our children to prioritize their well-being instills resilience. It helps them cope with stress, setbacks, and uncertainties, fostering the mental strength needed to overcome challenges.
4. Positive Social Skills: Personal well-being goes hand in hand with developing positive social skills. When children are emotionally secure, they are more likely to build healthy relationships, communicate effectively, and collaborate with their peers.
5. Lifelong Habits: Instilling the importance of personal well-being at an early age sets the foundation for lifelong habits. Teaching healthy lifestyle choices, stress management, and self-care empowers children to take charge of their health and happiness.
As we embark on this new year together, let's make a collective commitment to prioritize the well-being of our children. Encourage open communication at home, promote healthy lifestyle choices, and foster an environment where your child feels supported emotionally and physically.
Should you have any concerns or ideas to share about enhancing the well-being of our students, please feel free to reach out. Together, we can create a nurturing and supportive community that empowers our children to thrive in all aspects of their lives.
Wishing you and your families a year filled with joy, growth, and well-being.
Warm regards,
The Mental Health Team at Timberline Elementary
