St. Luke Weekly SMORE
April 28, 2023
Leadership Message
Dear St. Luke Families,
Spring has Sprung! What a wonderful time of the year. This week students really enjoyed their time outdoors participating in many PE classes and enjoying their time at recess. Our wellness focus this month was on play and our students certainly did play hard at recess. Students also did an excellent job at cleaning up the school grounds and taking care of our Earth for Earth Day and Pitch in Week.
Next week is Mental Health Awareness week. We have planned a few activities for students to participate in to highlight the importance of mental health. On Monday students will participate in tree bathing in the bird garden where they will get to do some fun activities in the bird garden. Tuesday is smoothie day for both the brain and stomach! Students will participate in an art activity while enjoying a nutritious smoothie. On Wednesday it’s Fun in the Sun and students will be encouraged to move their bodies outdoors playing giant lawn games and enjoying a frozen yogurt. Wednesday is also Hats on for Mental health and students are encouraged to wear their hats to show support for mental health.
Next week our school will also be participating in Adoration giving students an opportunity to spend time with Jesus. Father Jim will be here on Tuesday to place the Eucharist in the Tabernacle. I would like to invite any parents that would like to come into our chapel to spend time in Adoration to call the school to arrange a time for Wednesday.
Enjoy the beautiful weekend ahead,
Cathy Hinger
