Hello Huskie Families,
Good morning and THANK YOU to all of our Huskie parents who took the 5 Essentials for NNHS as we surpassed the 20% needed for the state requirement! Our families are the very best!! We still are working on meeting the 95% requirement for students (85% currently) but we will get there.
We also appreciate the work that our students have done this year to reduce our absentee rate by 10%. It is so good to have our students in class and engaging in the important learning.
This week we celebrate Spring Week! In addition to daily dress-up themes, here are some of the special events ahead:
- Wednesday, March 15th - St. Baldrick's Fundraiser
- Thursday, March 16th - Airband at 7:00 pm in the Field House
- Friday, March 17th - Spring Assembly
- Saturday, March 18th - Spring Dance
Thank you for entrusting your children to us,
Stephanie Posey

Girls Autosports Club: Students Maddy Houck and Ivy Cain were interviewed by Natalie Boemke from Fox 32 Chicago recently. The students are part of the NNHS Autosports Club and the group has been building a Chevy S-10 to compete in the Modified Mini Truck category at The Texas MIle on March 23-25. The bright pink truck was built to promote the NNHS Automotive Program and to recognize the value of women and diversity in the trades. Students tabricated and assembled almost everything on this truck from the ground-up including: the V8 engine, transmission, aero dynamic components, and parts of the chassis and suspension. The truck is being driven by Alina Aubakirova, a 20 year old diesel tech major from Universal Technical Institute in Lisle.
