BASH Important Dates
Sept 1-4 No School
Sept. 13- All obligations must be cleared by 2:45PM to purchase a Homecoming ticketSept. 18-22 Homecoming Ticket Sales during lunch periods (BCTC during period 5)
- Seniors without a lunch period will purchase during HR in room 419
- Pending find sales numbers, we will open guest passes starting with the senior classes.
Sept. 22- 9th Grade Tailgate (Softball Field) More info to follow.
Oct. 6- Homecoming Football Game
Oct. 7- Homecoming Dance
Parking Pass Distribution Information
BASH Seniors & Juniors,
If you are eligible to purchase a parking permit, you will receive an email from Mrs. Evans on Thursday 8/31/23 around 4:00pm. Parking permits cost $100 (cash or check payable to BASD) and students must present their valid driver's license at the time of purchasing their ticket. Purchases will take place on Tuesday [Seniors] (9/5/23), Wednesday [Seniors] (9/6/23) and Thursday [Seniors & Juniors] (9/7/23) during lunch periods by the main office. AM BCTC and PM BCTC students will be prioritized during 5th period. Part Time students without a lunch, may purchase their ticket during a lunch period. Failure to pay for your parking permit by Friday (9/8/23) will forfeit your parking permit and assign it to the next eligible student.
Starting Monday (9/11/23) only students with parking permits are permitted to park on campus.

If you are considering a college major or career in the field of healthcare, you should consider applying to the Medical Health Professions program.
Medical Health Professions for High School Seniors (MHP) is a partnership of Penn State Berks, the Reading Hospital Tower Health, and the Berks Career & Technology Center. You will take courses at Penn State Berks during your senior year as well as shadow medical health professionals at Reading Hospital. This program is for senior year, but you must apply during Junior year if you are considering this as an option.
If you interested and are seeking more information, please attend the Medical Health Professions presentation in the FAUD on September 12th during your HR/Flex period (7:40-8:12). You should report to homeroom and then to the FAUD. The presentation will be done by the end of Flex and you will not miss first period.

BASH morning/HR updates
Starting Tuesday (9/5/23), all students entering the building will be expected to report directly to their HR at 7:20am and not wander the hallways. Breakfast will be served in the cafe, however, once students are finished, they are to report to their assigned HR. Thank you for your assistance and cooperation.
Please note: The BASH Bell Schedule and start time, has not changed. HR starts at 7:40am.
Disney Senior Class Trip 2nd Payment Information!
The Senior Class Trip 2nd payment is being collected Tuesday, 9/5 through Thursday, 9/7 in room 204 from 7:15-7:47 am. On Tuesday, 9/5, we will be collecting payments last name starting with A thru G. On Wednesday, 9/6, we will be collecting payments last name starting with H thru M. On Thursday, 9/7, we will be collecting payments last name starting with N thru Z. We are dividing the students by alphabetical order because it is a very time consuming process. Your checks will not be deposited until Friday, 9/8. The check amount should be for $485. Make the check out to Senior Class Trip. In the memo, please have the student’s First & Last Name w/ student ID number.
If you did not sign-up in the Spring, but would like to still sign up, this is your last chance. We are asking that you sign up on Tuesday, 9/5 from 7:15-7:47 am in room 204. You will need to bring a signed contract and make a double payment. Your checks will not be deposited until Friday, 9/8. The check amount should be for $970. Make the check out to Senior Class Trip. In the memo, please have the student’s First & Last Name w/ student ID number.
Chick-Fil-A & Spirit Wear Info
Good Morning BASH! It is our pleasure to announce that Chick-Fil-A sales are back! On September 20th, we have an early dismissal, so we will be selling sandwiches for $6 during all lunch periods. We hope to see you there, have a great day!
The Class Officers have worked hard over the summer to bring some spirit wear to you! Due to how successful the first sale was, we decided to open the store back up! We have hoodies, shirts, sweatpants, and more for sale. Click Here to order, sales will end September 17.

Counseling Updates
Counseling Department Updates:
We want to wish Ms. Stephanie Williams all of the best as she prepares for new endeavor with the Pottstown Area School District. In light of Ms. William's departure, Ms. Shive will be the new 9 th grade counselor moving forward. Additionally, we are currently in the process of hiring Ms. Williams' replacement. Until we hire a new counselor, Ms. Greener will be handling students with the last names Deu-Heu in addition to her current case load. Please see the breakdown of counselor assignments below.

BCTC Infomration
We are excited that you will be starting/ continuing at BCTC this coming school year and taking advantage of great opportunities that both schools have to offer. We wanted to reach out to you to make sure you are prepared to have a successful start to the year.
BCTC begins on Wednesday, August 23. Therefore, all BCTC students will be staying at BASH for the full day on Monday, August 21 and participating in HR activities without having to miss any BCTC instruction.
On Tuesday, 8/22, all PM BCTC students will meet in the LGI for a brief meeting after period 4 with Mrs. Mazzie and Mrs. Shive. An announcement will be made telling you to report to the LGI.
On Wednesday, 8/23, all AM BCTC students will meet in the LGI for a brief meeting when you arrive back at BASH. Security will be in the front of the building to direct you.
AM BCTC students are to meet the busses in the morning at the Athletic Entrance. Busses leave for BCTC promptly at 7:40AM. School personnel will be outside helping you get on the correct bus
PM BCTC students will board their busses outside of the Main Entrance at approximately 11:10AM. Students should report to the Main Entrance after 4th period and wait outside the building. There is no need to leave 4th period early and your teachers have been instructed as such.
Upon returning back from PM BCTC, East campus students should wait until West campus students return to board their vans and busses. East students who are taking personal transportation home may leave upon arrival back to BASH
East PM BCTC students waiting for West PM BCTC students are to wait outside (on good weather days) and not leave campus.
Please check your emails daily, as we will communicate this way throughout the year
Recall that on Early Dismissal days, PM BCTC students are responsible for securing their own rides home.
