Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome back! I hope you all had a wonderful holiday break filled with joy and relaxation. As we begin the new year, I want to express my excitement for the upcoming months and their opportunities. We have many exciting learning experiences planned, and I can't wait to see what we will achieve together.
I want to take a moment to emphasize the importance of regular attendance for your child's education. Attending school regularly helps students stay engaged, build routines, and develop essential skills. It also ensures that they don't miss out on valuable learning opportunities. Your support in prioritizing attendance will greatly benefit your child's academic success.
Let's make the next few months the best ones yet!

There will be no lunch visitors to reestablish routines and procedures the first week back.
When a student is absent, a signed parent/legal guardian note, or physician's note must be submitted to the campus attendance office within 3 days of the student's return to school. This note is to include the following information:
- Student's full name
- Date of absence
- Reason for absence
- Signature of parent/legal guardian
Acceptable excuse notes by email must include the above information along with a copy of the parent/legal guardian's ID. If a note is not provided, the absence will be counted as unexcused.
Dear Parents,
We are thrilled to share some exciting news regarding an incredible opportunity for our students. As part of our commitment to providing a well-rounded education that equips students with essential skills for the future, we are introducing a new self-paced coding software, Tynker, which is now accessible to all students.
Coding is a valuable skill that goes beyond just programming computers. It fosters creativity, enhances problem-solving abilities, and develops critical thinking skills. Moreover, it has been proven to positively impact academic performance in areas such as writing and math. We believe that introducing coding at an early age sets the foundation for success in various fields and prepares our students for the ever-evolving digital landscape.
The Tynker software is designed to make coding engaging and accessible for all students. It offers a self-paced coding course that students can access conveniently from school or home using their Chromebooks. This flexibility allows students to explore the world of coding at their own pace, encouraging independent learning and problem-solving.
To access the Tynker software, students simply need to log in to their accounts on my.cfisd.net and click on the Tynker icon. Once they are in the Tynker platform, they can explore a variety of coding activities and lessons tailored to their grade level. The platform provides a user-friendly interface, making it easy for students to navigate and enjoy the learning process.
We encourage you to take a moment to explore Tynker with your child and engage in conversations about the exciting possibilities that coding can offer. By incorporating coding into their learning journey, we aim to empower our students with skills that will benefit them throughout their academic and professional lives.
Thank you for your continued partnership in fostering a love for learning and preparing our students for success.
Sincerely,
Andre’ Elementary
