The Martin Family Resource Center (FRC) is working together with teachers, staff, and school administrators to provide support to families and students. The FRC is a collaboration with AISD and Austin Voices for Education and Youth. The FRC provides social services by a licensed social worker. Martin Innovation Academy
The Innovation Academy is a STEM based program at Martin Middle School and Eastside Early College High School. The goal is to better prepare students for life after high school by providing them with various hands-on opportunities in STEM, (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math), while also exposing them to colleges, careers, and field trip experiences. The program's overall coursework is more rigorous and provides enriching lessons inside and outside of the classroom

Middle School Fair
Saturday, November 13, 9:00 am to -12:00pm
Families of current and future middle school students are invited to Austin ISD's 2021 Middle School Fair.
Students and their families can learn about the diverse and innovative programming offered in Austin ISD, enjoy student performances, and visit with current students, families, and faculty from our 19 middle schools.
This year's fair is being held at 9 a.m.–noon, Saturday, Nov. 13 at Eastside Early College High School, 900 Thompson St.
Enter along Neal Street, parking will be available.

Free transportation is provided for families on a rotating basis beginning at 8 a.m. on November 13th at Dobie Middle School (1200 E. Rundberg Lane) and Mendez Middle School (5106 Village Square Drive).

The mission of CACs is to promote excellence in education for all students through broad-based representation. CACs provide valuable input to principals, who ultimately have decision-making responsibility for their campuses.
What if I'm interested in serving on a Campus Advisory Council?
Membership of Campus Advisory Councils is determined at the campus level. Download a standard membership application. Completed applications should be submitted to your campus principal. Detailed information on membership criteria is contained in the CAC Bylaws.

Coats for Kids 2021
Get a Coat
To receive a coat, Austin ISD students who qualify for free and reduced lunch services can register by filling out this form in English or Spanish. No documentation is needed. The form will close on Friday, Nov. 12. Coats will be delivered to students at their campus before winter break.
Campus parent support specialists are prepared to help students and families fill out the form. Please contact your campus parent support specialist or email the Coats for Kids AISD Support Team with any questions at cfkaisdsupport@jlaustin.org.
Martin Middle school is providing assistance to parents to apply online for coats for kids. Call the school at 512-414-3243 or reach out to the Family Resource Center (FRC) 512-841-2802. blanca.herrera@austinisd.org The form will close on Friday, November 20.

REGISTRATION INFORMATION
Must be registered to participate in Hands for Hope. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis to the first 1,000 families. This year, to comply with COVID-19 social distancing requirements, families will register by phone during the dates and times mentioned below.

Operation Turkey will deliver meals on Thanksgiving Day — Thursday, November 25, 2021.
If you requested a meal, you can expect delivery between 10 am – 2 pm on Thanksgiving Day.
Each plate represents a meal for one individual containing turkey, stuffing, vegetables, pie, and a drink.
