Schedule change September 14th
Student IDs
Please remind your students that wearing their ID is not optional. IDs are a part of the our safety plan. Safety is of the utmost importance to us. We have approximately 2000 people in this building and need to be able to quickly identify students and staff.
Homecoming Dance
The Homecoming Dance, sponsored by the Music Boosters, will be held on Saturday, September 30th in our competition gym from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Tickets will be $15 and will be on sale Monday, September 18th until September 28th ALL during lunches. Students who are on the debt list must satisfy the debt prior to purchasing a ticket. All ticket sales will be in person and in advance of the dance. No tickets will be sold at the door. Tickets are not transferable. This is a semi-formal event.
Students will need to show their student ID and their ticket to attend the dance. Students and guests are required to stay until 9:00 pm. A parent/guardian will be called if a student or guest asks to leave before 9:00 pm.
Students will be permitted to bring 1 guest who must be in at least 9th grade and cannot be 21 or older. Guests will need to submit a completed Guest form to the main office by Friday, September 15th. Guest forms can be located NOW in the Main Office or use the link: Homecoming Guest Dance Form

Club and Activity Information
Are you interested in preserving the environment? Are you interested in sustainability? Are you interested in helping animals? Consider joining PV’s Take Action club. We meet every Thursday after school in Mrs. Brecht’s room 303. Our first meeting is this Thursday, September 14th. This intro meeting is open to everyone. Thursday, 2:30 pm, room 303. See you there! See Mr. Craven or Mrs. Brecht with any questions.
Attention Skiers and Snowboarders. The PV Ski and Board club is holding their first meeting of the year on Thursday, September 7th at 2:30 pm in Mr. Pennebacker’s room 112.
Newspaper is meeting on Thursday, September 7th, Tuesday, September 19th, and Wednesday, September 27th in room 123 from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Please see Mr. Tornambe with any questions.
Interested in Acting? Interested in being a part of PV High School's Fall Play? This year's production is entitled "S.N.A.P. - Scenes, Not a Play." Come find out what it's all about. This year's production will be held on Friday, November 3rd and Saturday, November 4th. The performances will be held here at PVHS for our 1st inaugural performance in the newly renovated auditorium. Actors as well as individuals who are interested in being a part of the production staff should attend this very important meeting! PVHS Fall Play Meeting will be THIS Friday, September 8th, from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm in the HS auditorium. Questions or problems? Contact Ms. Eskin at leskin@pvsd.org
Calling all Mathletes! An organizational meeting for Math Club will be held on Tuesday, September 12th after school in room 208. If you are interested in participating in Math Club but cannot attend the meeting, you can stop by 208 before or after school to speak with Ms. Kissel for more information, or email her at lkissel@pvsd.org.
Any student who is interested in joining the Speech & Debate team will need to attend a meeting with at least one parent/guardian on Tuesday, September 19th at 6:30 PM in Dr. Gelman's room, room 130. The meeting will last approximately 45 min. See Dr. Gelman if you have any questions.
If you are interested in returning as a member of the WL mentor program, please attend a welcome meeting on Tuesday, September 19th from 2:3 pm to 3:15 pm in room 150. Please see Mrs. Homan with any questions.
Yearbook is meeting on Thursday, September 21st in room 123 from 2:30 pm to 3:30 pm. Please see Mr. Tornambe with any questions.
Student Drop Off- Please only drop off in the indicated areas
This year the parent drop-off and pick up will occur in the student parking lot and in the faculty parking lot. Please do NOT drop off your student in any other area of campus. Please drop off your student between 7:20-7:40 am. Students will be able to enter the building to eat breakfast beginning at 7:15. Those not eating breakfast will be asked to remain outside until 7:40am. If there is inclement weather they will be permitted in the lobbies earlier. Students may only enter the building at the gym lobby or the cafeteria lobby before school begins.
Student Lot Drop Off
In order to avoid traffic delays, we are asking that you enter campus from Wartman Road and proceed towards Gravel Pike to the student parking lot. There will be no left hand turns from High School Drive into the parking lot.Turn right off of High School Drive to enter the lot and then immediately bear to the right to proceed to the steps by the gymnasium. Students may exit the cars at the bottom of the steps. After dropping off the student cars must turn left and proceed around the lot and will exit on Trappe Road.
Agents will be in the lot to assist with traffic patterns.
Faculty Lot Drop-Off
If you enter campus from Kagey Road, please use the faculty parking lot to drop off your student. You can also turn right onto Campus Drive if you enter from Wartman Road, however you will need to make a left turn into the parking lot. Agents and staff are in the drop-off areas to assist. Please do NOT drop off students at the bottom of the steps in the faculty lot.
Drop-Off after 8am but before 2 pm
If you are dropping off a student after the school day begins you may drop them off in the main office circle as the student will need to enter the building through these doors.
We ask for your patience and cooperation as we try to get over 1000 cars in addition to all of the buses onto campus in a very short period of time.
National Honor Society
Letters for students eligible to be inducted during the 2023-2024 school year will be sent via school email to students on Thursday, September 21, 2023. Students will be told of how to apply in that letter. Applications will open on Friday, September 22, 2023. Applications will be due Friday, October 6, 2023. Perkiomen Valley High School Invites Community Members to Get Involved and Inspire!
We welcome community members who are interested in becoming career guest speakers, participating in career fairs, offering student job shadowing opportunities, or supporting students as sponsors for our Senior Career Study Internship Program. Your involvement will provide students with valuable insights, spark inspiration, and establish connections that can shape their future paths.

Power Packs
Power Packs are weekend bags of food for students experiencing food insecurity. The bags include 2 breakfast items, 2 lunch items, 2 snacks, and 2 fruits. All food is non-perishable. There is no financial information required to participate in this program.
PV Power Packs is a volunteer run organization and all information is kept confidential. Names are shared with school counselors who arrange for students to pick up their bags prior to every weekend.
Please fill out a separate form for each child that you would like to receive a Power Pack, including children not yet in school.
We will begin handing out Power Packs on September 8th. If your child received Power Packs last year, they will automatically receive them this year.

School Visitor Information - ID Required
Health Requirements for the Class of 2024
Students should receive their first dose of meningococcal conjugate vaccine (MCV) at 11 – 15 years of age. A second dose is required at age 16 or entry into 12th grade.
- Documentation of vaccination or a valid medical, religious, or philosophical exemption is required for attendance in 12th grade.
- Seniors who have not met the vaccination requirements will be excluded from school beginning Sept 6th.

We will have buses available after school for students.Students are to sign up for the bus using the link below for this transportation

Buses are as follows:
Mondays through Thursdays - 4:00 pm leaving from the bottom of the steps, student lot beginning 9/5
Monday through Thursdays - 5:00 pm leaving from the bottom of the steps, student lot beginning 8/28
Student Handbook
Working Papers
Working Papers can be issued if a student between the ages of 14 to 18 is applying for a job and working papers have not yet been issued. Working papers are required by the State of Pennsylvania until a student is 18 years old. Please send kgeorge@pvsd.org an e-mail for the instructions and procedures that has been established by the State of Pennsylvania.
Class of 2024 Information
Senior Dates
Senior Privilege begins September 15th
Students who have "Senior Privilege" on their schedule period 1 or 10 must report to study hall for the first two cycles of school. They will receive a senior privilege application which must be submitted and approved prior to being permitted to come to school late or leave early. Students who are approved will receive a pass which they must show to security each day when leaving or arriving at school.

The 2nd payment in the amount of $365 is due no later than September 15th. Payments can be made in ParentVue, cash, or check. Travelers can drop off cash or check payments in the main office or in room 129 to Ms. Behl.
Save the Date- Senior Trip
Please SAVE THE DATE of February 8, 2024. There will be a mandatory early-evening meeting for parents of seniors and their students who are going on the Disney Class Trip. Time and location are forthcoming.
