Thank you for a wonderful January!

Yearbooks are on sale now! They can be ordered online here through March 15th. A select few will be available for purchase at the end of the year through the school.

PTO News - Valentine Candy Grams will be on sale until February 8th. Information was sent home on January 29th. PTO will meet on February 13th at 5:30pm in the Media Center to assemble the candy grams so they can be distributed on February 14th - please join if you can! The next PTO Spirit Night will be held on Tuesday, February 6th at Los Tarascos in Kings Mountain. Dine in or Carry out from 5-9pm. Just tell them you're with North at checkout!

Congratulations to Nina Escobar for winning the North Spelling Bee! She will represent North at the CCS Spelling be on 2/15 at Central Services in Shelby. Also, congratulations to Norma Thompson for being our Runner-up! She will also attend the CCS Spelling Bee as a support! Great job ladies!

The North Relay for Life Team is beginning their annual Tshirt sale on February 1st and it will run through March 1st. Click here for more information.

Class photos will be taken on February 1st. You may order pictures online at www.strawbridge.net using the code FM423513. 4th graders will be taking the NC Check In 2 for Reading and Math on February 6th and 7th. Progress Reports will be sent hone on February 8th.

The Scholastic Book Fair will be at North from February 12th - 15th. Parent Night will be on February 15th from 1-6:30. Check out North's online book fair here.

Parent Teacher Conferences will take place on February 15th. School will dismiss at 1:00 this day. Friday, February 16th is a Teacher Workday - there will be no school for students. Third graders will take their NC Check In 2 in Math on February 21st.

Parents, I would like to remind everyone that students should not be dropped off in our front parking lot or on Ramseur Street in front of the school. This is a huge safety concern. Please make sure they are dropped off in the back of the building in the car line. Our line moves quickly!

Lastly, parents, please make sure you have your ID with you if you're coming to school to eat lunch or check out your child. Our sign-in/out system requires a driver's license or ID to be scanned. We strive to keep our students safe. This is one additional step we can use to ensure the safety of everyone here at school. Please share this information with anyone who may come to school to eat lunch with your child. Please note that visitors are not allowed to go to classrooms after lunch. Please say your goodbyes in the cafeteria. Thank you for your cooperation with this.
