Snowman Grams
Toy Drive for Cornerstone
The National Honors Society is hosting a toy drive for Cornerstone’s Holiday party. They need new, unwrapped toys by December 6th. Toys can be dropped off in the main office, room 124 or room 238.
Free Meals Program
Starting on January 3, 2023, Vernon Public Schools will be returning to PAID meals. Students that have been approved for free or reduced-price meals through meal applications or direct certification will continue to receive free or reduced-price meals for the remainder of the year. Families can apply for free or reduced-priced meals at any point during the year.
*Please note that this change does not affect the three CEP schools - Northeast School, Maple Street School, Skinner Road School – as these three schools will continue to receive FREE breakfast and lunch for the remainder of the school year (through June 30, 2023).

Moana had her calf on 11/19. Mora is doing great.
Juniors and Seniors in the FFA attended the IMAGE Leadership workshop at UCONN. Students learned advanced leadership skills and networked with other Connecticut FFA Members.
15 students also traveled to Indianapolis for the National FFA Convention.
FFA Competes at UConn
The Rockville FFA Chapter competed on Friday, November 4 at UCONN for the State Career Development Events. These competitions are designed to test the skills of students in various aspects of agriculture. Hands-on applications, general knowledge, team presentations and public speaking are just some of the skills these students are evaluated for during these competitions. Students and teachers worked diligently to prepare for the fall round of competition, results are as follows.

Football Semi Finals Information
Our football team has advanced to the state semi finals! The game will be Sunday, December 4th, at 12:30 at Sage Park in Berlin.
All tickets will be sold online only. NO CASH SALES AT THE GATE. Here is the link to purchase- https://gofan.co/app/events/819458?schoolId=CIAC
The gates will open at 11:30. Please do not arrive before then.
We will also be running a fan bus for students only. If you would like to ride the fan bus you must sign up in the athletic office by 12:30 on Friday, December 2. Cost to ride the fan bus is $1. We must have 20 students in order to run the fan bus. Students on the fan bus must also purchase their ticket online. The bus will leave at 11:30 from RHS and return after the end of the game.
Lastly, signs, noisemakers, and air horns etc. will not be permitted at the game.

Fall Season Highlights
- Jocelyn Niemczyk for winning the Class M 100-yard breaststroke and earning all-state honors! She also finished second in the swimming state open in the 100-yard breaststroke.
- Isabel Cintron and John Glidden for earning all-state honors in cross country!
- Elizabeth Dunton, Caroline Burg(volleyball), Chloe Keane, Jordan Galica (soccer), Luke Woodward, and Finley Ross (soccer) for earning all-conference honors this fall!
- Our E-sports Smash Ultimate team qualified for the state tournament and made playoffs! They are currently ranked 7th in the state of CT.
