CALENDAR/IMPORTANT UPDATES

MINIMUM DAYS FOR GRADES 1-6 September 12-15, 2022

Teachers will be conducting assessments during these days. Please note that 1st through 6th grade students will be released at 12:45 Monday through Thursday.


BACK TO SCHOOL NIGHT - Wednesday, SEPTEMBER 14, 6pm - IN PERSON!

We look forward to greeting you in person on Back to School Night! We ask that you wear masks at Back to School Night so that we can keep everyone as healthy as possible.


6-6:25 - Classroom Presentations for Grades K-3 - please go directly to your child's classroom for the presentation

6:30 - Principal's Greeting in Cafeteria (all families and teachers)

6:45-7:10 - Classroom Presentations for Grades 4-6


FRIDAY September 16 - Million Fathers March!

Please join us in celebrating fathers (and father figures) and their role in young people's development. We are inviting all fathers and father figures in Hayward to drive or walk their child to school on Friday. Those who can join us for breakfast at 7:45 can enjoy some donuts and books with their child before the school day begins.

LORIN EDEN SCHOOLWIDE EXPECTATIONS

BE SAFE - use safe physical actions, play in supervised areas, run only on the playground

BE KIND - use respectful words and actions, include others in games and activities, use problem solving strategies, and respect our learning environments

BE RESPONSIBLE - follow directions, follow all recess procedures, use restrooms responsibly, use other's property with respect.

Free/Reduced Lunch Program!

Did you know that just applying for the program for Free or Reduced Lunch, the school district has a better opportunity to get funding from the state of California? When we have more application submitted, we have more options to apply for grant funding, field study options and other opportunities to benefit our students. Even if you think you are not eligible, the application itself will serve to support our student community.

Please consider applying. The form is very easy to navigate.
