Dear Wilson Focus Families and Friends,
We have begun our Wilson Focus School 2023-24 journey! We have already experienced a few incredible adventures. We are especially grateful for the adventure of meeting our new 3rd graders and all of the new students to Wilson, and of course welcoming back our returning students and families.
We want to thank all of you for your patience in the adventure of our new bus hubs where students meet for their journey to school and home. We acknowledge how we've had to adjust to meet the changing times and driver shortages. We are so glad that our students and families have made the adjustment to be part of the opportunities provided at Wilson Focus School.
We are so excited to find the joy in our learning journey together! Let the adventures begin!
Feel free to reach out to me at any time, Luann.jacobs@ops.org or (531) 299-2260.
Mrs. Jacobs

Arrival: It is important to not arrive until after 7:35 a.m. If you are here before 7:35a.m. please keep your child in the car or stand outside with them to supervise.
Pick Up: If you are picking up your child after school please remember to be here by 3:35.
Tardy and Early Release: Unless for a medical appointment, students who come late or are picked up early, the time is counted as unexcused and adds to their total absences. When a student comes into the classroom late or leaves early it interrupts not only their learning but the learning of the entire class.
Buses: If your child normally rides the bus home and you want to pick them up at 3:30 pm or 4:30 pm on Enrichment days, it is critical that you call the office by 3:00 p.m. for us to make the switch from bus to parent pick up. Students will be placed on the bus unless we have a parent phone call. This is for the safety of your child.
Enrichment begins Tuesday, September 5th. Watch the school calendar carefully for any Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday we do not have Enrichment. School ends at 4:30 pm on Enrichment days. Visit the following link to our calendar. https://www.ops.org/domain/4040
Attendance: It is important for students to show up each day on time for their school journey and so we can work together to GROW your child's academic knowledge. It is parent responsibility to contact the school to report absences by calling (531) 299-2260. Provide doctors notes for excused absences.
