GRAD CLAS NOTES
College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Graduate Newsletter
Welcome to our New Students!
To our new students who are beginning their graduate studies at Villanova – welcome! We are excited for you to join our community of scholars and professionals, and we look forward to meeting you next month.
GRAD CLAS NOTES is our monthly newsletter for members of the graduate studies community in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Each month, we will share academic news, and research and enrichment opportunities that you may find helpful as you navigate life as a graduate student at Villanova. We always welcome feedback or ideas for items to include, so please feel free to contact us with ideas.
I want to encourage our new students to register for our Orientation and Kick-off Bash on Friday, August 23. See the Events section below for details. This event will be both informative and a lot of fun, so you won’t want to miss it!
One final note for our new students … we have something in common. While I have been a faculty member at Villanova for 20 years and have served as graduate program director in the Department of Communication, I only began my tenure as Dean of Graduate Studies in June. So, in a way, I am also beginning a new journey in CLAS Graduate Studies. I am looking forward to traveling this path of passion and purpose together.
- Emory Woodard, PhD, Dean of Graduate Studies, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences
