EBSCO DONATES $10,000 (US)
AND DISASTER DATABASES TO ACURIL'S CAMPAIGN
EBSCO CONTRIBUTES TO ACURIL’s DISASTER RELIEF CAMPAIGN
Anticipating ACURIL’s Disaster Relief Campaign with the SOCIAL MEDIATHON EVENT, EBSCO has donated $10,000 (US) to the cause.
On Tuesday, 21 November 2017, Mr. Rafael Lagares, EBSCO’s Representative for Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, República Dominicana, Venezuela and the Netherlands Antilles, handed the official letter of EBSCO’s donation of $10,000 (US), signed by Mr. Scott Bernier, Senior Vice President of Marketing, EBSCO Information Services, indicating that
… As a stout member of ACURIL, we know that libraries are vital to our communities –
now, more than ever. With this donation we wish to support the Puerto Rican
and Caribbean community in getting these valued institutions back to their feet…
We know this is just a small step in a long road to recovery.
We stand united with ACURIL, and the people of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean,
as the region begins the process of rebuilding…
On behalf of ACURIL, receiving the official letter from Mr. Lagares, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, were Acurileans Carmen Margarita Santos-Corrada, ACURIL Past President 2009-2010 and Luisa Vigo-Cepeda, ACURIL Executive Secretary.
ACURIL sincerely thanks EBSCO's Information Services for joining and supporting its Disaster Relief Campaign!
