Congratulations Sato Elementary School Kindergarten teacher Aarti Kamalahasan! Aarti is the K-5 finalist for OnPoint Community Credit Union's Educator of the Year. Aarti will receive a $5,000 cash award, plus an additional $1,500 to her school for resources and supplies. Learn more about Aarti.
Student Test Results in ParentVUE
Scores are available on both the desktop and mobile app. Students whose parents/guardians do not have an active ParentVUE account will be mailed English Language Arts and Math test results over the summer. Students with at least one parent/guardian with ParentVUE access may request a printed report by contacting Rayna Flye by email at rayna_flye-fairman@beaverton.k12.or.us.
Rent Assistance Program
The Oregon eviction protections are set to expire at the end of June. This means renters will need to pay back rent that's still due. The state will start taking applications today 5/18/21, for additional rental assistance through the Oregon Emergency Rent Assistance Program. People are eligible if at least one person in the household had a financial impact from the pandemic (a lost job, decrease in income), and their household income is at or below 80% of the area's median income (about $77,000 for a family of 4 in the Portland metro, or $51,000 in rural communities).
Tenants can be approved for up to 12 months of past-due rent, and three months' upcoming rent. The payments will go directly to landlords, property owners, and utility companies.
The money will be allocated based on need, so everyone who applies for the program will go through a review process.
Assistance is offered to all renters, regardless of citizenship or immigration status.

Summer Meal Program June 28 - August 12
This summer, children can access free breakfasts and lunches through the federally-funded Summer Food Service Program sponsored by the Beaverton School District Nutrition Services Department. All children, ages 1 through 18 years, are eligible. There is no application or registration required. Parents or guardians may pick up meals for children who aren’t able to be present. A Parent/Guardian Meal Pick-up Form must be provided to Nutrition Services staff prior to meal pickup.
Curbside, grab & go meals will be available from June 28 - August 12 at all six of the district’s comprehensive high schools. Meals will be available Monday through Thursday from 10:30 - 11:30 a.m. Breakfast and lunch will be distributed together in the same bag. Meals will be available at the following locations:

Beaverton High School
Mountainside High School
Southridge High School
Sunset High School
