Two counselors from Northwestern Michigan College will visit Greenspire High School on Tuesday, October 1st from 4pm-5pm to provide information about our partnership with NMC. Please attend if you would like information on:

Greenspire is hosting its first-ever blood drive on October 4th from 11:30-4:00 with Virstit Blood Center! We would love for you all to sign up and donate so we can keep doing this in the future. It only takes a few minutes and comes with a free Nirvana-inspired t-shirt!

If you are interested, I have linked a few documents with more information and a link to sign up. We are open to the public so parents are more than welcome to come and donate too. 16-year-old donors must have a signed parent consent form (Linked below) on the event day. there will be physical copies of these in the office as well. We will soon have a sturgeon (Nmé) in the house! We are looking for families who are interested in helping with sturgeon care throughout the year on periodic weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities require about a 20 minute stop at the school to siphon the aquarium, top off the sump tank and feed the sturgeon.

We will plan a short, after school training session in the coming weeks to show you the ins and outs of sturgeon maintenance.

The GHS National Honor Society Chapter focuses on Environmental Preservation efforts throughout the school year. Each member must sustain a 3.5 GPA or above, while regularly demonstrating scholarship, character, leadership, and service. Each Spring, the GHS National Honor Society holds their induction ceremony for qualifying 10th grade students.
