September was Attendance Awareness Month
September was National Attendance Awareness Month! It's a bigger problem than you think. Absenteeism begins at a young age, and children from low-income families are four times more likely to be chronically absent from school. Students who miss two to four days in the first month of school are more likely to have a poor attendance record during the school year. Many of our schools had attendance incentives and rewards for students and staff to encourage good attendance habits early in the 2023โ2024 school year!

Pastoral Breakfast at Marion Intermediate School
We are delighted to announce that Marion Intermediate School recently hosted a pastoral breakfast to show appreciation for the local pastors in our area. Dr. McCall shared information about the programs and PBIS incentives the school offers to their students. He also spoke about how he would like to partner with pastors to help our students succeed. We are thankful to have a strong community of faith-based leaders, and we look forward to making a positive impact on our students through this partnership.
