This Friday, Sept. 29 is the big day and it looks like it's going to be a beautiful fall night! All the festivities kick off at 5:00 with the Fun Zone, followed by the parade, more Fun Zone, football game, and Fireworks! Because this is a large community event and a lot of people are expected to attend, it is always a good idea to establish a Family Communication Plan before you go to any such event. Thank you to the P-H-M Education Foundation and their generous sponsors for sponsoring all these festivities! All the proceeds from the money raised will go towards PHEF teacher grants to fund innovative classroom programs. One of the things that will help PHMEF raise money is the Virtual Silent Auction. Students from all 15 schools will be participating in the parade this year. Penn student club parade floats will be beach themed. Starting Friday, Sept. 29 through next Tuesday, Oct. 3 you can vote on your favorite Penn student club float. Each vote is $5. Thanks to Penn Boosters, Penn students will get their first vote for FREE! The winning floats will receive monetary prizes from PHMEF.

After this week's big Homecoming weekend be sure to mark your calendars for the Community Connections Fair on Saturday, Oct. 7, 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., at Schmucker Middle School. Come out and enjoy the many cultural performances and student work that will be on display representing countries from all over the world! Click for more details.

Note - because we have picture day scheudled on the last of our spirit days, we will move NEON Day to Monday, October 2 !

Our annual Fun Run is just around the corner! It will be at Schmucker Middle school on October 27th from 5:30-7. We are in need of Halloween and fall theme prizes. We will also need volunteers to hand tickets to kids as they complete the laps. Volunteers will also be needed to work the prize table and the hot chocolate stand.
