Shamrock Shuffle Dance

Shamrock Shuffle Dance

March 13th from 3-4pm

Tickets $5

Ticket sales Tuesday, February 27 - Monday, March 11.

Purchase tickets during lunch in the cafeteria.

NO tickets will be sold after those dates.

In order to attend, a student cannot receive any office referrals from February 27 - March 13.

Art Show Winners

Several Chippewa students were selected for the Best of the Best art show with Maine West last month won Juror's Choice Awards!

Attendance Impact on Education

Chippewa misses our students when they are gone and we value their contributions to our school! We would like you to help ensure your student regularly attends and succeeds in school.

Please use the Infinite Campus Parent Portal to keep track of your child's attendance and grades. If there is anything we can do to support your child, please let us know.

What Families Can Do:

There are small steps that all parents can take to monitor and limit absences thereby enhancing their child’s academic success.

Encourage your child to develop the habit of regular attendance.
Set a regular bedtime and morning routine.
Lay out clothes & backpack, (and make lunch, if applicable) the night before.
Don't let your child stay home unless they are truly sick.
Develop backup plans for getting to school if something arises.
Strive to make appointments (doctors, dentists, etc.) during after-school hours.
Avoid extended trips when school is in session.

Scholastic Bowl Team

Chippewa Middle School competed in the Northwestern Wildcat Quiz Bowl, Saturday Feb. 17.

The CMS Scholastic Bowl team began the day with 2 quick wins in rounds 1 and 2. The team finished in the middle of the 18 team pool with a total of 4 wins for the day.

A great job by 8th graders Tyler H, Jackie J, Charlotte E, Danielle V, Lydia W and 6th grader Zyra V.

Registration for 24-25 School Year

Registration for the 2024-2025 school year has begun! All student going into grades Kindergarten through 8th grade should register by April 30th.

Step 1: Online registration. Returning D62 Families and New D62 Families should click here.

Step 2: One-on-one appointment at the school

All students going into kindergarten, 2nd grade, 4th grade and 6th grade, as well as new to District 62 students, will make a one-on-one appointment with the school’s administrative assistant to turn-in forms that require in-person paperwork submission
