Woodrow Library Update

Our Project R.E.A.D. transformation began on the first day of school in August! The walls were painted and flooring work is still in progress. However, the library is still open to serve staff, students and school community from 8:40 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Various clubs, programs and events will be held before and after school. The staff from the Lakewood Branch of the Dallas Public Library will be on site so that faculty, staff, and students can renew or sign up for a new Dallas Public Library Card. Take advantage of all the resources and services the Dallas Public Library has to offer: Books, Movies, Music, JSTOR and other Research Databases, Programs for All Ages, and More!

As part of our Hispanic Heritage Month celebrations we will launch our Multilingual Book Club in partnership with the Bilingual Education Department at UNT Dallas on October 10, 2023 during A-C lunch. Students, staff, and community are welcomed to join. Community members who wish to join must be cleared via VOLY. Contact Ms. T. for details.

The 23-24 Express Yourself Youth Poetry Contest is now open! Poems are accepted in English and Spanish. Details are available at: https://dallaslibrary2.org/childrensCenter/youthPoetryContest/
