This Week...
How is it already the end of September?? This year is flying by. The students worked so hard this week in class and completing district assessments. I hope everyone has a restful weekend!
If you have not signed up for a Parent Teacher Conference, please sign up soon. We are looking forward to meeting with you on Thursday and Friday.

WHAT ARE WE LEARNING THIS WEEK?
ELAR- We will explain how the use of text structure contributes to the author's purpose (4.10B)
Math- We will use arrays, area models and equations to represent quotients (up to a four-digit whole number divided by one-digit whole number) (4.4E and 4.4F)
*Math will start sending home an extra practice activity each Monday. This can be completed and returned by Friday for a small prize.
Science- We will differentiate among forms of energy, including mechanical, sound, electrical, light and thermal (4.6A)
Social Studies- We will identify, locate, and describe the physical regions of Texas including their characteristics such as landforms, climate, vegetation, and economic activities (4.6A)
HOWDY ROE CRAFTERS!
We invite you to be a part of a new ROE tradition –The ROE State Fair Contest. Here’s how to participate:
We have 4 different contests: Miscellaneous Crafts, Fine Arts, Scale Model, and The Great
Pumpkin Challenge
1.PICK A CONTEST (please just pick 1 out of the 4)
2. PICK A CATEGORY under the contest that you’ve chosen(please just pick 1 category)
3. Fill out the Google Form provided on the campus newsletter before Thursday, September 28th. The Google Form will be on Canvas for 3rd-5th and on social media.
4. Begin working on your entry. The entries are to be submitted on Tuesday, October 10th through Thursday, October 12th. Early or late entries will not be accepted. Entries will be judged against entries within the same category based on individual merit. 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place ribbons are awarded to the top entries in each category of every contest. If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact Kelly Hartman. Get creative and be part of this year’s fun competition!
