Straight from the Hardt
Hello Ridgeline Families-- I’m fortunate to have such a great team to support Ridgeline students. A great example is around the switch to a new semester. Our staff, specifically counselors, teachers, and office support worked super hard on tight timeliness to enroll dozens of new students and make even more scheduling adjustments to put students on the best trajectory. Thank you to them!
So many great events to recognize and appreciate this past week including senior nights(cheer picture here), athletics, robotics, and theater. The theater cast and crew has been set for the musical rendition of the classic adolescent novel, Tuck Everlasting. Stay tuned for show dates and ticket sales in the coming months.
The Junior Class is excited to be hosting the Winter Formal this Saturday night from 8-11. We’ve sold over 600 tickets for students and guests, which is an amazing turnout! I think everyone is excited to get together for some fun to shake off the winter doldrums! Also Saturday, you can come support our Girls Basketball team in their playoff game at 2:00pm right here at Ridgeline, then get ready for the dance after that!
Next week looks to be impactful because we get to recognize and appreciate one another every day. To do this our ASB has assigned a color to wear each day as a visual reminder and way to say “thank you” to each group and individual that serves an important role in making the machine, that is Ridgeline, go! Details are outlined below and plan to wear BLUE on Monday to kick off the week in support of our teachers and counselors.
Take advantage of Parent’s Night Out on Valentine’s Day and enjoy a fashion show, prom preview, on Thursday night, here at Ridgeline! Student models will be wearing fashionable clothing to help seniors and their dates start thinking about that special night.
Just a friendly reminder about parking and valet matters on campus. Stay in the valet line and continue to pull forward if there is any space in front of you. Please don’t pull into the visitor and staff parking lot as that jams up people coming and going for school business. Thank you!
Check out many more important items and celebrations in today’s Falcon Flyer…
Make it a great Superbowl weekend! --Mr. Hardt

Running Start: MANDATORY MEETING for NEW Running Start Students and Parents/Guardians
Last month, on January 24, Ridgeline hosted a virtual Running Start/Dual Credit meeting in which we provided a brief survey of dual credit options in Advanced Placement (AP) and Running Start options for the Community Colleges of Spokane (CCS) and Eastern Washington University (EWU). With both the CCS and EWU Running Start applications now open, we turn our attention to registering interested new students for the program. To that end, we will host a MANDATORY MEETING on Wednesday, February 21, at 6:00 PM in the Ridgeline Theater. If your student will be new to the Running Start program, please plan to attend this meeting with your student, as we will more deeply explore the program, its finer details, and the responsibilities associated with participation. Please Note: student and parent/guardian participation is required before your student’s counselor will sign-off on the applications’ counselor forms. If you have questions, please contact Mr. Spraggins (bspraggins@cvsd.org), Ms. Fuller (afuller@cvsd.org), or Ms. Plaster (kplaster@cvsd.org).
