05/30: 1st and 3nd Period Exams (Last Day of School for Clear Horizons)

05/31: Class of 2024 Graduation; 8AM Challenger Stadium

• During Final Exams, students are still required to be at school each day for Advisory. (TEA requires students to be in attendance for 90% of the time) Our State reporting funding period is Advisory.
• Students may check out for early release if they are finished for the day and have completed all attendance recovery hours.
• Students who check out must leave campus and may not return for the day.
• Exams cannot be taken early.
• If a student misses an exam, and the student is not exempt, the teacher will enter a Zero in the gradebook. The student will have to email Ms. Maxwell to request a makeup during the summer. CMaxwell@ccisd.net

If the parking lot opens this week. . . Please avoid picking up and dropping off in the bus lane. We need to make sure our buses always have access in and out of the lot. Also please watch closely for pedestrians making their way to cars in the lot.

For planning purposes we are providing families with a draft calendar for next year. An official calendar will be sent out this summer. This draft has not been finalized by the District yet.

Adjustments from the District calendar are proposed to ensure students are in attendance whenever San Jac classes are in session while still meeting the State requirements for high school minutes.

May 28 - May 30: High School Final Exams

May 27: Memorial Day Holiday, No School Students and Staff

May 29: Graduation Practice 1:30 PM

May 30: Last Day of School

May 31: CHECHS Graduation, Challenger Columbia Stadium 8:00 AM
