January 2021 Newsletter
Happy 2021, Rainiers!
Greetings Columbia Crest Families,
I hope you had a rejuvenating break sharing special time with family and friends. Now it is time to settle into the routine of school and work hard.
Happy New Year! Just hearing those words creates many images for us. The first semester is close to over and there are resolutions to make. Reading more should be at the top of the list, applying our math skills to our daily life and thinking creatively as we write are mutually essential. And then there is learning more science and social studies while being kind, running fast and getting in shape. So much to do! Welcome 2021.
With the New Year comes new staff announcements. We welcome Rachel Hehemann to our staff, (yes, Mr. Hehemann's wife). Mrs. Hehemann is serving as our Special Education ParaProfessional. She is a great fit and has dove right in to her work and is already excelling!
Additionally, we hired a new Secretary, Miss Yates. We are thrilled to add these two ladies to our Columbia Crest staff.

January is School Board Appreciation Month. The members of our School Board are outstanding supporters of our school and advocate for all students in the Eatonville School District. We appreciate the countless hours they volunteer on behalf of the community. Students and staff send their gratitude.
Thank you:

Student Council News
Welcome to 2021!
Student Council will be planning some special days for you. Locate those favorite pajamas (even Christmas ones) and your favorite book, be ready to make a cool cold weather drink and find out how many things that marshmallows can be added to to make something taste better! Your school leadership is hoping you will reach out to each other as we did when you wrote letters to Veterans, First Responders and Care Givers in November. Your letters have reached many parts of Washington State as they were sent or posted to important groups that serve us daily. Wow, “thank you” is an important word that touches the heart!!
Missing you and all our fun ASB activities, Mrs. Fountain and the Student Council of Columbia Crest
