Mental Health Series - Your Child's Anxiety
Dear Parents,
We are excited to invite you to our September Parent Series called "Your Child’s Anxiety". You will learn simple strategies that will help respond to your child’s anxiety. When applied, these skills will help you and your child bond, allowing your student to identify and work through their anxiety more effectively.
This event will be held on September 13th from 6:30-7:30 PM virtually. We hope you will join us for this informative and helpful event! Please register for the event at http://cookcenter.info/Sep13Davis or for the Spanish version register at http://cookcenter.info/Sep13spDavis. By registering, you will be emailed the video link if you are unable to attend.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Sincerely,
Christi Blankman

Attendance Matters
Regular school attendance benefits your child in several ways:
1. Academic Success: Attending school daily allows your child to engage fully in the learning process, ensuring they don't miss out on essential instruction. This contributes significantly to their academic progress.
2. Social and Emotional Growth: Consistent attendance helps children build and maintain friendships, develop social skills, and establish a sense of belonging within their peer group and school community.
3. Establishing Good Habits: Attending school regularly helps children establish a sense of responsibility and discipline, which are crucial life skills that will serve them well in the future.
4. Learning Continuity: Each school day builds upon the previous one. Frequent absences can disrupt your child's learning and make it challenging for them to catch up.
We understand that there may be occasional circumstances that require your child to be absent from school, such as illness or family emergencies. In such cases, please make sure to notify the school as soon as possible so that we can provide appropriate support and ensure that your child doesn't fall behind.
We believe that every day in school matters and contributes to your child's growth and future success. Thank you for your commitment to their education.
