As we take a week to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday, I have been reminded of so many things I am grateful for. One of those things is the parent community that surrounds Scott Elementary. Our families are such a huge part of what makes Scott work. Thank you for being involved with your student, supportive of our staff and showing up to support school events. All of us at Scott truly appreciate you.

Throughout our weekly library and makerspace excursions, we discovered the fascinating story of Tony Sarg, a skilled puppeteer credited with orchestrating the inaugural Macy's Thanksgiving Parade in 1924! Inspired by his creativity, our students crafted balloon floats in our MakerSpace. The culmination of these efforts resulted in the debut of the Scott Elementary Thanksgiving Day Parade! We invite you to revel in the festivities!

Our collection of unclaimed items has continued to grow. Please make a point of checking our lost and found items. At the end of each month, they are donated to a local charity, but we would much rather see them go home to you.
