Bolt's Bulletin
January 2024
Dear Skyline Community,
Happy New Year! As we usher in the new year, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we've had at Skyline so far. Your unwavering support and commitment to your child's education have made a significant impact, and I'm truly grateful for the strong partnership we share.
January is a month of fresh beginnings and renewed aspirations. Our dedicated team at Skyline is excited about the opportunities for growth, learning, and collaboration that lie ahead. We're committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment that fosters both academic excellence and leadership development.
In the coming weeks, our students will be engaging in various activities and projects that aim to enhance their educational experience. We encourage you to stay involved, whether it's through participating in school events, attending parent-teacher conferences, or simply engaging in conversations with your child about their school day.
As we navigate the rest of the school year, communication remains a key element. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or if you simply want to discuss your child's progress. We value your input and believe that open communication is essential for the success of our students.
Let's make 2024 a year of shared achievements, personal growth, and collective success. Together, we can create an enriching and positive educational experience for all.
Wishing you a fantastic start to the new year!
The Sky is the Limit,
Erik Olson

Winter MAP Testing
We are quickly approaching our winter MAP testing window (January 8th-January 19th) and want to take a moment to share information about the upcoming Measure of Academic Progress (MAP) testing that your child will be participating in. MAP testing is a computer-adaptive assessment designed to measure your child's academic growth over time. Unlike traditional tests, MAP adjusts to your child's performance, providing a personalized assessment experience.
During the testing period, students will engage in various subject areas, and the results will help us understand their strengths and areas for growth. The adaptive nature of MAP allows for a tailored evaluation, ensuring that each student's abilities are accurately reflected.
Please be assured that MAP testing is not a "pass" or "fail" assessment; rather, it provides valuable insights into your child's academic progress and helps us customize their learning experience. We encourage you to talk with your child about doing their best and taking their time on their testing days. Your child's teacher will share more information.
