Input on Timing of Fall MCH Alumni Panel
Last October we convened a panel of MCH alumna (watch the video here) and have plans to do so again. We hope to not only record it, but also to stream it for MCH distance learners and others who can’t attend in-person. When is a good time of the semester to have a panel? What are your preferences around timing? Weigh in here and we'll do our best with scheduling.
The survey closes on Friday, August 23.
Advice for Incoming MCHers
Now that you’ve had a year (or more!) as an MCH student under your belt, what advice or words of encouragement would you give incoming MCHers to help them get excited, organized or prepared for what’s ahead? What do you wish someone had told you? Do you have any tips about moving to MN from out of state, connecting with other distance learners or other suggestions?
Leave your comments in this form and we’ll include in the Fall welcome newsletter!
The survey closes on Friday, August 23.

3. Save the Date for the September Reproductive Health Update and Adolescent Sexual Health Summit!
The conferences take place on September 9 (Adolescent Sexual Health Summit) and September 10 (Reproductive and Sexual Health Update) on the St. Paul Campus.
What have MCHers said about these conferences?
“I thought it was a great experience to be able to hear about unique topics in public health that you might not get in the classroom (ex. masculinity in health, trafficking...), and to also be able to network with other professionals who are working in the MCH field!”
“The [Reproductive Health Update] Conference was an engaging opportunity to learn about health equity and access through the lens of reproductive justice...It was also a great space to make connections with professionals in service organizations and within the Department of Public Health. If you enjoy learning new things and networking, this is a great way to do it!”
These events are co-sponsored by the Center.
