Paki Paki Whaea Judie!
These tamariki were just some of our Duffy winners for week 4 and they get to go home with a special Duffy book!
Honor Wilson from Tōtara has been working very hard in maths
and growing a real love of learning.
Elle Blair from Tōtara has been giving all her new mahi a go and has great mat manners!
We love seeing the 'Student of the Day' tamariki coming to put their tokens in at the office.
Remember if your child gets a student of the day token they bring it home to get your signature then bring it into the office the next morning (or another morning if they forget).
Layla Hardgrave gets another one in for Kiwi and Summer Wilkinson gets one for Pīwakawaka.
Who is winning? We will find out at the end of term!
Showing our School Values with Traffic
We need our whānau to show school values too, especially at pick up and drop off times.
The roundabout on Mangati and Parklands is going to be closed
from Monday 22 May for a month.
Why not take this time to explore a different route or pick up point? We have other school entrances which are much less busy. Perhaps it is time your tamariki could walk a little further to a safe pick up point?
If you must drive to the main entrance, remember:
DO NOT PARK in the school drop off bay.
DO NOT WAIT on the road to turn in to the drop off bay.
If the drop off bay is full please find a park or go around the block and wait until it is free. Stopping in the road blocks the crossing, causes traffic issues for other cars trying to get out and becomes dangerous for our tamariki.

PLEASE KEEP SICK TAMARIKI AT HOME
Please keep your tamariki home if they are unwell.
If you think they are 50/50 please keep them at home until they are better. The best place for them to be is at home where they are warm and can get better faster and they will not pass their sickness on to others at school.

Each team will need a couple of golf clubs (a putter and iron), golf balls, tees and an adult with them for safety. At a stretch one adult for two teams would be ok. We will have limited clubs available please let me know if you need any.
Once everyone has arrived we will do an event briefing and then set everyone off at various starting holes. The format is Rotate Golf: One ball per team, one score per team. Team players get a number from 1-4, this determines when it’s their turn, one will start, then two will hit from where one finishes and so on.
Here is the link to register your teams: https://forms.gle/v3VvRD1FTFofuK1Q8
The purpose of the day is to get young people out on the golf course having a fun time and smashing a few good shots!
