Lost Items
STOP BY DURING CONFERENCES TO SEEE IF YOUR STUDENT HAS ANY LOST ITEMS. We are asking parents to put their child(ren)'s names in articles of clothing, on water bottles, etc., to easily identify personal items brought to school. We have VERY limited space, so we will not be holding on to items more than a week. We will donate any items to a charity at the end of each week, unless they are clearly marked with a student name and we can get it to the student on the same day. Next donation day is Nov. 3.

Pastries with Parents
After reviewing the survey results, smartphones was the number one parenting topic selected for discussion. We will be gathering from 8:15-9am on Nov. 16 to discuss the topic of smartphones and using the Smartphones Parent Guide from AXIS as a source for our discussion. Each month we will address a new topic of parent's choice based on our survey. Feel free to bring any resources that you would like to share on this topic to add to our discussion next month. We will meet on black top after student drop off and then walk together to room 404. See you there!

Staffing Update
McKenzie Falotico, Office Manager, will be on family leave for the birth of their second child. The plan is for her to be on leave the last week of November through February. Please join us in celebration with the Falotico's as we welcome the new addition to their family. Rebecca Hankland, an NCCS parent, will be a long-term substitute for McKenzie during her leave. She will retain the same email as McKenzie, and work the same hours, as a member of our office staff. Please welcome Rebecca to our school office team.

Pre-Arranged Absences
Parents and students are encouraged to keep absences to a minimum. Understandable reasons for absence from school would include, but are not limited to, student illnesses, death or illness in the family, or medical appointments.
In the event of a planned vacation or extended period of absence, parents must provide the office and teacher with a written notice for pre-arranged absences. The designated form to be used for such purposes should be received in the office no less than one (1) week prior to the first day of the planned absence. These forms are available in the office. These forms are not required for individual medical appointments, only for reoccurring appointments or an extended absence.
Thank you for encouraging your student to be at school!
Local Churches for Those Needing a Place of Worship for Their Family
Please make church attendance with your family a priority. It is an expectation that NCCS parents and students attend a Christian church. We hope our families are attending a Christian church and are involved in that community, in person. If you are looking for a home church, we encourage you to check out our list of local churches where we already have school families attend.
