A Message from Elementary Leadership
Dear Parents, Learning Coaches, and Students,
As we step into the beautiful month of November, I extend my warmest greetings to all our Insight families. It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to another edition of our monthly newsletter. This month marks a period of transition as we immerse ourselves in the vibrant colors of fall, embracing the spirit of gratitude and reflection.
I am proud to share that our school community continues to thrive with a sense of purpose and dedication. Our students have shown exceptional commitment to their studies, setting an exemplary standard for their peers. Additionally, our faculty and staff members have remained steadfast in their mission to provide an enriching and nurturing learning environment.
As we approach the holiday season, let us not only celebrate the achievements and progress of our students, but also express our heartfelt appreciation for the unwavering support of our parents and learning coaches. Your involvement in our school community is invaluable, and we encourage you to remain actively engaged in our upcoming events and initiatives.

November/December IN-PERSON Events
Join us on select Friday afternoons in November and December at museums, science centers, aquariums, and more! These events are FREE for current Insight PA students and one adult per family. Visit the link below to learn more about the events happening in your area and access our sign-up forms. Please note that specific times and included activities vary by location - be sure to read over all of the information for your selected event before signing up to attend!
Learning Coach/Teacher Conferences
Learning Coach/Teacher Conferences will be held on Monday, November 20th and Tuesday, November 21st. Times will be available between 10:00am - 6:00pm and we encourage you to sign up for a slot that fits your schedule. These conferences will be held in NewRow, which can be accessed through your child's Class Connect schedule, but teachers are happy to accommodate a phone conference as well.
More information will be coming from your children's teachers - please keep an eye on your email for your chance to sign up for a conference!
Semester One Internet Reimbursement
The Internet Reimbursement window for Semester One of the 2023-2024 School Year is now open!
Please see your email or visit the link below for more information, and to access the survey to request your reimbursement.
*Internet Reimbursement Surveys are due by Tuesday, December 19th!
Student Photos Needed!
Insight PA is required to have a current photo on file of each student every school year. We ask that you please complete this survey and upload a current photo of your child on or before Friday, November 10th.
When uploading a photo, please use a photo that:
- Is current within the last two (2) months.
- Clearly features the child’s face as the main focus of the photo.
- Is a photo of the child wearing clothing that follows the School Dress Code in the Family and Student Handbook.
If the photo uploaded does not adhere to the above guidelines, you may be asked to resubmit your child’s photo.
All students who have a photo submitted on or before Friday, November 10th will be entered into a raffle for a $50 Amazon gift card! Three (3) gift card recipients will be randomly selected and notified the week of November 13th.
After School Support
Don't Forget!
We are offering additional support to students after school, Monday - Thursday from 4:00pm - 6:00pm These optional sessions are open to all students. Check your Class Connect schedules in the Online School for these sessions - students can drop in and stay for as long as needed.
Children's Grief Awareness Day
Our team of Student Resource Specialists are again partnering with Highmark Caring Place this year to provide support to our grieving students and their families. On Thursday, November 16th, we will be recognizing Children's Grief Awareness Day. We ask you to join us by wearing blue on this day.

Students and their families are also invited to visit Highmark Caring's Place's Illuminating Hope website and add a butterfly to the virtual garden in memory of a loved one they have lost or in support of others who are grieving. Butterflies can be added between now and December 31, 2023.
Counselors Corner
We are looking forward to focusing on gratitude this month. Practicing gratitude can increase our well-being and our happiness. Through lessons and activities, counselors will reflect on the importance of gratitude in our Counselor Connection sessions.
*Our Elementary students are assigned to a counselor by grade level and work with the same counselor each year as they move up through Elementary School. Not sure who your counselor is? Check the list below!
