Weekly Inspiration
This video is from 2 1/2 years ago, but it's a good reminder of where we've been and helps us appreciate what we have today.
"I'm here and I'm really trying my best."
Each year, each day, and each moment can bring it's own unique challenges, but your commitment to the well-being and growth of ALL of our students is a beacon of hope. Your are resilient and face challenges head on because of your passion for supporting our students. Some days will feel like a success and others you'll feel like one of the teachers on the video, "I am here and I'm really trying my best." But we keep showing up for each other and our kids because it's what we do as educators.
I want you to know how immensely proud I am of each and every one of you. As another teacher said in the video, "This is our chance to really shake up education, to look at what really matters." You have taken that to heart, and you are adjusting and adapting to meet the needs of our kids. Please know that your hard work does not go unnoticed, and the positive impact you make on the lives of our students is immeasurable. The students who push us away and are the hardest to engage are the ones who need us the most, and I'm proud to see you fighting for them when they sometimes won't fight for themselves.
"This year has been the most challenging but the most rewarding. I'm so proud of all of us - teachers, administrators, students."
Thank you for everything you do.

Cardinal Recognitions
PTEF Teacher Recognitions
Congratulations to Jason Adler, Mike Klopfenstein & Ashley Quinlin!
As a fundraiser, PTEF reached out to Perry Township families to donate a sign in recognition of an influential educator. Families nominated a teacher, made a donation so the teacher could have a personalized sign posted in front of the school, and then wrote a thank you message to the teacher explaining WHY they were selected. Congratulations to Mr. Adler, Mr. Klopfenstein, and Mrs. Quinlin for being recognized.
SHS Career Fair
Thank you to the SHS School Counseling Department for arranging the Career Fair for our students.
We want to thank the PE department for assisting with set-up and their flexibility with losing their classroom space for the event. Also, thank you to all of our staff members for supervising their iPass students and interacting with our community partners during the event. Another thank you to our amazing custodial crew for the setup, tear down and clean up for the event.
