Athletes of the Week - Jan 31-Feb 5

ABBEY LODATO

Abbey Lodato -Senior, Varsity Basketball

A 4-year varsity player, Abbey nailed the game-winning shot with under 2 seconds remaining to beat rival South Lake and secure a share of the League Championship. She finished the game with 18 points, 6 steals and 5 rebounds. On Senior Night, Abbey led the Trojans in another win over cross-town rival Lamphere 48-15 with 6 steals, 5 assists and 4 points against the Rams.

NICK LANFEAR

Nick Lanfear - Senior, Varsity Wrestling

A first year wrestler, Nick excelled on the mat this year for the Trojans. Clawson went up against state power - Algonac - at the Team Districts last week. Nick wrestled hard against one of the best wrestlers in the state in his weight class. According to Coach Smith, “Nick went toe-to-toe and looked good against him - Nick has done everything asked of him all season and was a valued addition to our wrestling program.”

Lacrosse - Co-op with Bishop Foley

Our Boys Lacrosse Co-op Team will begin Pre-Season Weight Room Workouts starting this Tuesday, January 25th from 5:30-7pm in the Bishop Foley weight room and every Tuesday and Thursday before the season officially starts on Monday, March 14th. All practices and home games will be at Bishop Foley. There will be a Parent Meeting on February 3rd at 7:00pm in the Bishop Foley Cafetaria for returning and new parents.

Spring Sports - Middle School

Make sure you have a current physical on file and you create a planeths account (details below)! Winter Sports offered at CMS include:


  • Track and Field- open to all 6th, 7th and 8th graders
  • Softball - open to 7th and 8th graders only
  • Baseball - open to 7th and 8th graders only
  • Swim and Dive - open to 6th, 7th and 8th graders


Note: Students must be signed in to their school email in order to complete the Interest Survey!

Middle School Swim and Dive

There will be a MS Swim Parent Meeting on Wednesday March 16th at Lamphere's

Pool at 6:oo pm


Practice starts Monday March 21st and will be Mon-Thur 3:00-4:45 pm

All student-athletes in High School and Middle School must have the following in order to participate in athletics at CHS and CMS:


  1. Current Physical (dated on or after April 15, 2021)
  2. PlanetHS.com account (click here for video on how to do this)
  3. Athlete Code of Conduct (on PlanetHS.com)
  4. Pay to Participate
