Welcome Back 2023-24
A Degree Higher
Dear Skyline Families,
Welcome back to another exciting school year at Skyline Elementary! We are absolutely delighted to have you and your child(ren) join us once again as we embark on a journey of growth, discovery, and learning. As we dive into this new chapter together, I want to share a special theme that will guide our efforts throughout the year. It's called "Two Twelve: A Degree Higher."
Just as the thermometer rises by one degree, bringing about transformation and change, we are committed to taking our school community to a higher level of excellence, engagement, and achievement. This concept of "Two Twelve" symbolizes our collective commitment to going beyond the expected, reaching a little further, and aspiring for greatness.
In the coming months, you can anticipate a school year filled with innovative lessons, hands-on experiences, and a focus on holistic development. Our teachers and staff are dedicated to going "a degree higher" in their teaching methods, fostering a love for learning and curiosity, and creating an environment where every student believes that learning adds value to their life, creating a sense of purpose and developing a strong sense of belonging.
To achieve this, we encourage you to get involved in our school community. Whether it's attending parent-teacher meetings, participating in our family engagement events, or volunteering your time and talents, your active involvement makes a significant impact. Just as every degree counts in raising the temperature, every effort you contribute adds to the warmth and vibrancy of our Skyline family.
At Skyline Elementary, we understand that growth happens not only academically but also socially and emotionally. Our commitment to going "a degree higher" extends to creating a safe and inclusive environment where every student feels valued, supported, and empowered to be themselves.
As we move forward, we invite you to partner with us in this journey of continuous improvement. Your feedback, insights, and ideas are invaluable in shaping the future of our school community. Together, we will elevate the educational experience for our students and set them on a path to success.
Thank you for entrusting us with your child's education. We are excited to see where a "Two Twelve" attitude takes us helping to make this school year truly extraordinary.
Here's to a year of growth, achievement, and going beyond!
The Sky in the Limit,
-Mr. Olson, Principal
