All Students are Curious, Creative, and Confident Learners!
Dear Kendallvue Families,
This weekend was more of what I like for fall weather. Kids were able to jump in leaf piles rather than snow piles! I hope everyone was able to enjoy the weekend. We have some upcoming events before the Thanksgiving holiday break. Our Veteran's Day music performance is this Thursday at 1:30 and again at 6:00pm. Please help us celebrate our Veterans during one of these performances. The kids sound great! Next week kicks off our Scholastic Book Fair from November 14-17th. This is always a great time to find those holiday gifts! Finally, November 13th is a teacher work day with no students next Monday.
I want to lift up our school start time. We are noticing an uptick in student tardies in the morning. School opens for breakfast at 7:45 AM. Breakfast is open and free for all students. Students may start going to classrooms at 7:55 AM. Students should be in classrooms by 8:05 AM and ready to learn. As the weather gets colder, remember, we do not have supervision before 7:45 AM. But there is a 20 minute window for kids to get to school and their classrooms on time.
Traffic has picked up a little, especially when the field was covered in snow. Please remember to pull all the way forward and watch for me waving cars forward. Pulling all the way forward toward the two evergreen trees helps get more cars in the lot and off the street. The purpose of the "hug and go" is to quickly drop off students and keep moving. Thank you in advance for helping us move cars and people efficiently through the parking lot.
Last week, I sent out a form about Parent/Teacher Conferences. I apologize the link was broken. Hopefully the Google form works this time around. Here is the P/T Conference Survey if you would like to provide feedback. It is always appreciated.
I look forward to seeing you all this week!
Cheers,
Bruce Lindsey
Principal

She also needs a few more parent volunteers to help with the Book Fair in November. If you’re interested in this opportunity, please sign up here.
Carmody Middle School- Information night- November 30 @ 5:30pm!
From the Clinic
Student attendance is the most important factor in student academic success. Students cannot learn when they are not at school. Of course, we do not want students who are sick in school. But please take some time to read through this CDE document for more information about "How sick is too Sick".
Bagels with Bruce!
On November 29th, please come to the library between 8:15-9:00AM. There is no real agenda except to provide an opportunity for us to talk about the state of the school and for parents to provide some feedback on how things are going. I will provide the coffee and bagels!
- November 29, 2023 (8:15-9:00 AM) in the library!

School Enrollment Survey
We invite you to participate in the School Enrollment Survey, open now through Friday November 17. Your feedback will play a key role in shaping the future of Jeffco's schools. We are eager to understand the reasons why you chose the school your student(s) attends and to learn which school programs matter most to you. Your insights will help us make informed decisions that improve the enrollment process and ensure that our programming aligns with your family's educational needs.
Additional survey details:
- Brief Survey: The survey takes 10-15 minutes to complete
- Single Survey Per Household: You only need to complete the survey once, regardless of the number of students in your household.
- Anonymous Participation: Your responses will be kept confidential, as the survey is anonymous.
- Language Options: The survey is available in multiple languages.
Your feedback provides the foundation for our ongoing efforts to meet your family's unique needs. Thank you for your continued support and partnership to help all Jeffco students thrive and achieve their biggest dreams.
Hazel Health
Mental, social and emotional wellness of students is a priority that we share with our community and one that we are addressing with layers of support including school counselors, social emotional learning specialists, school psychologists, social workers along with partnerships with outside agencies like Hazel Health.
This year, we continue our partnership with Hazel Health’s Telehealth services to provide a free telehealth extension of mental and physical health support for Jeffco students enrolled at district-managed schools accessed at home with a parent/guardian. Charter school families should connect with their student's school to learn more.
Parents/guardians may access these services on behalf of your student by visiting this webpage and following the instructions for – Steps to Access Care.
Why Should Families Take Advantage of Hazel Health Services?
Our priority is for students to be healthy and ready to learn. Hazel Health connects you with healthcare providers through virtual telehealth, so your student can get the care they need from your home.
Quick and easy access to a self-referral system with minimal or no wait times.
If your student is suffering from anxiety, depression, grief/loss, bullying, academic stress or more, Hazel Health therapists can help them!
All Hazel Health providers serving Jeffco students possess the appropriate Colorado credential for their profession, whether to practice medicine (i.e. medical doctor, nurse practitioner, or physician’s assistant) or provide mental health services
We encourage you to take advantage of these no-cost Hazel Health Services for your student’s well-being. You can access this service right now by visiting our webpage to learn more and begin the referral process.
