November 13th
Today is World Kindness Day
World Kindness Day is celebrated on November 13th in various countries, including the US, Canada, Japan, Italy, Australia, and the United Arab Emirates. On this day, people are encouraged to go out of their way to be kind to others.
Here are ways you can promote kindness at Leyden TODAY:
- Smile when you walk by others
- Compliment someone
- Hold the door open for someone
- Talk to someone new
- Invite someone to eat lunch with you
- Send a positive or encouraging text to someone
- Offer to help a classmate with classwork
- Recognize someone's efforts in class
- Give someone a high five

- When: Friday, November 17th
- Where: Student Cafeteria immediately after school
- Price: $4 for a Chicago style hot dog

Support Our Troops this Holiday Season!
You can donate items by dropping them in one of the collection boxes at entrance 4, entrance 18, and in room 152J. Donations will be accepted until November 21st.

National Native American History Month
National Native American Heritage Month is celebrated each year in November. It is a time to celebrate the traditions, languages and stories of Native American, Alaska Native, Native Hawaiian, and affiliated Island communities and ensure their rich histories and contributions continue to thrive with each passing generation.
Learn about other historical events with History Club!
History Club provides opportunities for students to explore topics related to history through small group discussion, history professor presentations, and field trips. All history enthusiasts are welcome!
