EPIC Books

EPIC Books is an app on Classlink/Launchpad. If it is not on your Launchpad, you can add it. They are offering free at home access during remote learning.

Discovery Education

Discovery Education is an app on your Launchpad/Classlink. You need to access it from the launchpad to be able to login with your Henry County credentials. The picture below is what the app looks like on your Launchpad.

Henry County Public Library System Digital Card

Students that signed up for a digital library card in the fall have access to the eBooks at the Public Library. They need to go to the website http://henrylibraries.org and select "E-books & More and then "eRead Kids". They can search for a book or browse for a book. They will be prompted to enter their library card id and pin number which is on their library cards. They can also select "hoopla" which links to your library card and is a digital library for you to add to a basket.

Kate Messner - Author

Kate Messner, along with her publisher and illustrators, have given permission for read alouds to be recorded and posted only in closed platforms like Google Meet (not Facebook Live).   2. He, along with his publisher, has given permission for his books to be read live in closed platform like Google Meet for the duration of school closures.

Dan Gutman - Author of Weird School books

Gutman has given permission for his books to be read aloud in closed platform like Google Meet.

Scholastic Learn at Home

Scholastic has provided 20 days worth of resources by grade level during school closures.

SORA - Digital Library

SORA is an digital library. The library may or may not have a title you are looking for and there is a limit to the number of copies per title. It is just like going to a physical library. Users can place holds on titles. Make sure you go back and check to see if you have the book each day after a hold is placed. Books are kept for 14 days and automatically returned at the end of the 14 days.

Cincinnati Zoo - Facebook Live

Cincinnati Zoo is hosting a Facebook Live Home Safari each day at 3 pm EDT. Fiona the Hippo was featured on Monday's post. She is a hippo that was born six weeks premature. We have the book, Fiona the Hippo, in our library. I wonder what other animals will be featured each day!
