Happy Holidays!
We hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving holiday, giving thanks for the many things you are grateful for. We offer many thanks to each family for helping foster a successful home-school connection for your children. We are thankful to serve our outstanding school community, and serve alongside exceptional professionals. We look forward to connecting with our families at our upcoming conferences.
During the month of November, we held our November Town Hall where we focused on service and thanked our Veterans. Our students sang "You're A Grand Old Flag" and we presented our Veterans with a certificate. We focused on pride and self-esteem. We want our students to take pride in their school, community, and themselves. Thank you to our PTO and staff for making our Veteran's Day event a great morning for our Veterans and students. Thank you to everyone who donated to our kindergarten food drive. We donated several hundred pounds of Thanksgiving food to the Flemington Food Pantry.
This month our PTO is hosting our annual Holiday Shop for our students to purchase gifts for family members and friends during the holiday season. Thank you to the many volunteers who will help organize our Holiday Shop for our students and assist them in choosing their special gifts! A huge thank you to our generous school community for contributing to the district "Helping Hands" fundraiser!
On behalf of the faculty and staff here at Copper Hill, we wish everyone a joyous and festive holiday season! May the New Year be filled with much health and happiness for all!
Best Wishes,
Jesse Lockett & Tania Kelly
TEACHER OF THE YEAR AND EDUCATION PROFESSIONAL OF THE YEAR!
Congratulations to Copper Hill's Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Dahms and Educational Service Professional of the Year, Mrs. Conover! Our school is a great place to learn, work, and grow because of these two amazing professionals.

Absences and Changes in Your Child's Routines
- If your child is ABSENT or TARDY for any reason, please call the Copper Hill ATTENDANCE LINE by dialing 908-284-7665 or report an absence online here. Leave a message detailing the nature of the absence, your child’s name and his/her teacher’s name. Messages may be left at any time of night or morning and are retrieved on a daily basis.
- If your child needs to be DISMISSED EARLY, please send a note to school with your child in the morning, listing the time for pick-up and the reason. Children leaving school prior to 3:25 pm will be marked as an early dismissal. Please note, three tardies or early dismissals count as one absence.

IMPORTANT: PLEASE SEND A NOTE WITH YOUR CHILD IN THE MORNING FOR ANY CHANGE IN YOUR CHILD'S ROUTINE.
Lost and Found.....IS GROWING!!!!!
Please label all of your child’s belongings (lunchboxes, jackets, glasses, etc.) Any items that are found with a name on them will be returned. The lost and found is located right outside the office. Valuables (such as money, jewelry, eyeglasses, etc.) will be kept in the office. Items that have not been claimed will be donated.
Thank you to our PTO for purchasing shelves and racks to organize and display items.
Why does attendance matter!
When students aren't feeling well and sick they should stay home until they are better. However, when students are healthy we want them in school learning and growing with their teachers and peers. If you have any questions about your child's attendance, please reach out to Mr. Lockett or Mrs. Kelly.
Breakfast & Lunch
Breakfast and lunch options are available for all students. Please visit Maschio's website for updated menus and other important information. Breakfast is a grab and go in the cafeteria from 0850-0855 as students enter the building. If your child will be getting breakfast, please let their teacher know.
*If your child would like to purchase breakfast, or receives free/reduced breakfast, please have them go to the cafeteria immediately upon arrival.
Students in grades K-4 will have the opportunity to purchase additional café snacks; ice cream, chips, etc.
If your child is a frequent buyer, or free/reduced, or will purchase a snack, please help your child remember their 4 digit pin.
